Happy to be back in the US (for a few days anyway)

I am so happy to be home but I am leaving again Saturday morning!  It is time for Aruba again.  Ok…to be totally cliched, I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by.  I blinked and am going back to Aruba.  The good news this year:  19 pounds lighter I am pretty psyched to get into the bathing suit.  The bad news: last year the kids school got so pissed that I took them all to Aruba, despite the fact that their dad was out of town as well so I had no choice, that I decided I couldn’t take Maud and Leo anymore.  With Maud in middle school and Leo in 4th grade they are really getting too old to take out of school for a whole week.  But Lucy and Nelly are coming with me since they are still so little.  The challenge has been stopping Lucy from taunting Leo and Maud that she gets to go!  She is just way too mischevious.

So Glen, my manager and friend, decided he was going to go on Isagenix as well and he started a 9 day cleanse to get jump started before going to Aruba with us.  As Hollywood dave keps pointing out, Isagenix is a virus and everyone we know is catching it.  So Glen was going along great and after 4 days or so he calls me on Sunday and says he wants to hike Runyon Canyon, which I love so of course I said yes.  I called Hollywood Dave to join us and off we went.  When we met Glen and his friend, Steve, there Glen confessed to me that he had a cupcake and ice cream the night before. Holy Cow!  Are you kidding me????  It is only 9 days and that is a helluva cheat.  I rode him about it but eventually let it go until…..

Yesterday Glen says to me he is not sure about Isagenix cause he still feels fat.  I said maybe you feel fat because you at a cupcake and ice cream in the middle of it.  Then he got all pissy with me and said he couldn’t do a program where he never got to eat anything fun.  Sheesh!  It is not like you can’t ever eat anything fun when you are on maintenance but, I pointed out to him, you were on a cleanse which, by the way, was only 9 freaking days!  Who can’t go without a cupcake for 9 days????  I think I could go without almost anything (but water) for 9 days!

I love Glen to death and am so happy he is coming to Aruba with is but, sheesh, what a baby!

So, really cool news…I am hosting a tournament at San Manuel Casino in October (on the 25th http://www.sanmanuel.com/page.htm?pageId=1).  What is really cool about it, aside from the obvious that the people at San manuel are really sweet, is that it is a $100K freeroll!  That is a pretty awesome freeroll and I am pretty psyched to be a part of it.  San Manuel is doing the event as a player appreciation thing and I am always happy to be a part of something that gives back to the players.  I think I will be doing more stuff with them in the future so stay tuned…

Anyway, I have tons to do before Aruba.  I just heard that the Radisson has a brand new gym and spa so i am going to make a lot of use of that.  I am planning to take Lucy and Nelly for a little girls time getting pedicures and I am certainly going to make use of the gym every day that I can.  I stuck to that resolution in London so I don’t see why i couldn’t do it there too…especially with Glen wanting to work out every day and Joe too.  I wil have lots of support :-)
