Special Day with Lucy

Last week, Nelly got a special day with me.  With four kids it is hard to get everyone their own time so I occasionally do special days where one child gets me all to theirself for the da.  Nelly and I had lunch and went shopping at The American Girl Doll store and The Gap.  It was an expensive special day!  But she had a great time and felt very extra special after it was done.

So today is Lucy’s special day.  We are going to Mani’s Bakery for lunch (yum!) and then heading over to The Grove since she wants to go to The American Girl Doll store as well.  She has also requested Joe come along for the whole thing :-)   Yay!  It is going to be a good day.

After our day I am going to be playing the new $1K buy-in at 8:00 pm eastern time on Ultimatebet.com.  It is a new event and I am the bounty which means if someone knockes me out they get their buy-in back.  I am supposed to be at a fundraising event for The Canyon School in Santa Monica tonight by pacific so I am going to be playing some fast poker!  Either get a lot of chips or get out.  That’s my motto tonight!

So, London ended up kind of blah.  I ended up in a play off match against Devilfish, best of 5 heads up.  I managed to beat him but thenin the finals ran JJ into AA and then lost AJ to 87 suited when Kravchenko called a big all in from me getting 1.6 to 1.  Oh well…I was annoyed at the time but I am over it.  I ended up breaking even for the trip, which was fine.  It could have been much worse.  I could have been Phil Hellmuth at the bottom of the league losing $44K lol! He was at the top of the league last year.  And the winner of the league this year, Tony G, was at the bottom of the league.  it was interesting because a lot of high finishers fomr last year finished low this year and vice versa.  I think there is a lot of parity in the league.

Running is still going well.  I am really happy to be back in LA because it was so cold in London that I only ran outside once!  Since I got back I have run outside 4 times, although yesterday I ended up running in the rain. I have had a good week though, hitting a consistent pace of around 8:50 while doing extreme hills so I am hopeful about breaking the 4 hour barrier at the marathon.

I am going to have a donation page up soon for AUFA for my marathon.  So keep an eye out.  I will announce it here, of course.  In the meantine, players who play on Ultimatebet can use the Raise program to donate their points. http://www.ultimatepointsstore.com/CARTViewItem.asp?id=673
