No…I am NOT leaving Ultimatebet!

Lord…I’ll tell you.  It is amazing that if someone just says something on the internet all of a sudden people think it is true.  The other day Wicked Chops posted that I am leaving Ultimatebet.com for another site.  I can tell you that if it is true that was the first I had heard about it!  I would love someone from the site that I am moving to to call me and tell me the deal I am getting to leave UB. 

I mean, look, logically why would I stick with UB through everything because of my faith in the management there and then all of a sudden leave like that?  I believe in this brand and I believe in the people behind it.

In other news, after being trapped in New York for a month I am finally back and trying to get back into the groove.  I am on a strange time schedule because I was getting up at 5 am every day on the east coast so being on the west coast now it is difficult for me to get on schedule.  I am ecstatic to be back home with the kids.  they were only out with me for a week and it was brutal so being back is a joy for me.  At some point I wll get back in the groove, no doubt. I am already back at Bikram after 3 weeks off from it.  It was tough the first day out but I powered through it.  And I am getting my healthy eating habits back…slowly but surely.

Go Obama! I am so psyched and relieved that Obama won but really, really upset about Prop 8 passing in California.  Prop 8 adds a constitutional ammendment in the state of Clifornia that same sex couples cannot marry.  Obviously, I voted no on Prop 8.  But by a narrow margin, 51% voted for and Prop 8 passed.  I am so upset.  I truly don’t understand why people care. How does it affect you if two people get married?  I don’t get why it should matter to anyone and why should we build discrimination into a constitution?

The way I look at it, it is just that prejudice against gays is still sort of accepted and somehow not consider as aggregious as discrimination against African Americans, or Asians or whatever.  But it is just as bad and I don’t see why gay people shouldn’t enjoy the same rights as anyone else.  Why should who you choose to have sex with have any bearing on what your rights as a human being are?  It all makes no sense to me and I am really unhappy about the whole thing.  I am certianly going to stump for the issue the next ballot it comes up on.
