Did´s you see that the show has portrayed you as a double-faced person? I was a fan Brande but not anymore because of you. So happy to see what you are writing here because your writings still show you are a mean woman, same as on TV.

The show hasn’t portrayed Annie as two-faced. Joan Rivers has claimed Annie is two-faced which is completely different. The only people who think Annie is two-faced are people who are listening to the bile spewing from Joan Rivers mouth. Just because Joan Rivers says something doesn’t make it so. It’s like Joan and her followers find it offensive that everyone didn’t just volunteer to throw the game so that Joan could win.

I just caught the latest episode of High Stakes Poker and Howard told a funny little story about being approached by a fan who said something to the effect of, “hey, I know you! You’re Phil Hellmuth!”
I’m paraphrasing here, and it’s all relevant, so bear with me…
Howard responds with the typical “you got the wrong guy” retort and the fan goes, “oh yeah, that’s right, you’re Annie Duke’s brother!”
Funny stuff. But you know, it got me thinking and I basically said to myself, you know, it makes sense.
Nothing against Howard (I enjoy him), but Annie shines far brighter. She has that inexplicable and rare aura that you sometimes find attached to people.
It’s been attributed to Axl Rose for example. I can’t remember who said it, but it essentially describes how when he walks into a room everybody takes notice and are somehow drawn to him.
The reason I’m saying all this is because I can’t believe that Annie Duke hasn’t been higher on my radar before her appearance on the Apprentice.
I mean, I’ve been playing poker for a few years and the culture is now a part of me. Yet Annie was a personality that despite her success and stardom never really appealed to me or evoked a desire to know more of her.
And yet when she waltzes onto the Apprentice stage (I’m a reality tv junkie and a big fan of the celeb version) I’m stunned.
I suppose it was the opportunity to see her in an environment more reminiscent of life and its little nuances that made me take notice. It gives a glimpse of the real person after all. And with such a view, how can one NOT fall in love?
^In a healthy way, mind you. I throw “love” out there much in the same manner a tv fan might use “hate”, as in “I hate Joan Rivers!”

My point, yes. Well, I just wanted to point out how high she (or you, if you read this stuff) now is on my radar compared to before, and how the Apprentice enabled such effusive adoration by allowing me to take part in her wonderful personality, her sharp intellect, and her undeniable beauty (she is both sexy and as cute as a button) in a multidimensional way not possible at the poker table.
That’s it, really. Well that and I saw team Rivers on Ellen today taking a few jabs…those meanies.
Good luck on the show and with everything else. Thought I doubt you’ll need it. You strike me as a person who quite simply MAKES things happen.

I don’t ‘hate’ Joan Rivers, I just don’t LIKE her very much. Frankly, she’s a first class bitch! But, ‘hate’ her? Nope. I ‘pity’ her..and I pity her sorrowful excuse for a daughter, Melissa, who now has fallen into the category of ‘loser’. I’m sure she’s quite used to it with a mother like hers as a teacher. We all SAW on TV how she takes losing.

Joan and Melissa make their livings insulting people. They seem to have rather thin skins considering their line of work.
Kristina you make an important point- People seem to be judging what Annie does as FACT, based solely on what Melissa or Joan say. It’s all over the internet. “Annie’s 2 faced”, “Annie’s a back stabber” and the most recent “Melissa had no tasks to do so she shouldn’t have been fired”.
they base this solely on what Joan/Melissa say, not on the facts to the best of our knowledge by what we see through the editing.
On the last show Melissa stood there and told Jim Cramer that she wants them to be seen as “equal” because she felt they all worked hard and equally on the task- remember that? Cuz the cams switched over to Annie who appeared miffed that M would say such a thing.
Later in a private interview M said she had done a lot of work on the project- I watched the program more than once (tivo!) and ppl may have not remembered that portion-
So what we have here are 2 distinct incidents where Melissa says blatantly that she was working in the project equally and worked a lot. Yet her brief whining statement later that she had no jobs in the task, (a lie based on her own 2 faced statements in that program) well that last whining remark of hers seems to be all the ney-sayers seem to remember on what really took place in that last show-
They don’t like Annie so they remember only the parts they want to remember. People need to re-watch that show and see carefully the extreme differences in what M is saying- She can’t claim they did equal work, she can’t claim she did a lot of hard work in the project and then turn around and say she wasn’t given anything to do.
Lastly all these nuts who claim Annie’s a backstabber and 2 faced, I’d just like them to point me to the exact places in any clip where you can justify saying that.

People are saying Melissa shouldn’t have been fired because she didn’t do any work? LOL Melissa WOULDN’T have been fired if she hadn’t been so obnoxious in the boardroom and pissed off Trump. WOW I think that Annie will win. Not that I want her to win but I think you have to play dirty to win and who did it better then her. She played the cards from the bottom of the deck. But I think that is how she lives her life so what do you expect. Brande was just lead around by the nose because she was the easier one to win against. Good luck Annie. Joan+Melissa, I’m having a hell of a time with my nephew, we won’t let him play games because he’s a bad sport, gets frustrated, yells, won’t shake hands, tries to turn over the table. I suggested we should stop trying to train him to act like a human being and take a page out of Joan’s book–when teachers, coaches, and other parents call to complain, we’ll give a big speech about how he’s maintaining his integrity by acting like a goon. No one laughed.
First of all, I’m only on this blog to air my distaste. I AM NOT a fan of Annie nor do I care to read her opinions on ANYTHING. Annie is completely SELF OBSESSED and needs constant validation. I feel sorry for her. Not to mention her kids, I’m sure they were happy to find out that she can give one ‘hell of a bl*w j*b’. Nice, Annie.
Oh, come on! Even by reality show standards that outcome set a new level for being contrived and fake. I know it’s TV, I know they want ratings, but why even make a pretense of playing a game when the outcome defies any logic of the game? Please!
Annie Duke is perfect at each task. Yes she can be a bit much but no one can deny that she is a winner and that she is clearly the smartest person to appear on the show.
As a lover and student of decision theory and game theory I am learning so much about how a solid theoretical background will make me a much better poker player. It also makes me better at making *any* type of decision.
One thing that I finally understand is that decision theory is really a hybrid of math/logic and psychology. I love math but it is the psychology that really makes the math work out.
Annie I love what you do and how you approach problem solving. You are an inspiration to all poker players. But as a person, you are a bit full of yourself. And I mean that in a constructive way.
can’t say I’m surprised by who the final two are, but really I don’t think any of the other semifinalists could be any match for Annie. I really wish we could clone Annie and have her play against herself in the finale (that would be interesting). I can’t wait to see Annie kick some serious ass next week.
What a GREAT SHOW this one was tonight! One of the BEST EVER! Of course, Joan keeps up her personal attacks on Annie. In my opinion, this does absolutely NOTHING to add to the substance of the show–although I must admit, it probably does improve the ratings, which we all know is what shows are all about anyways.

Annie Duke lives for her charity work and things that she believe in. Since this show is supposed to be about charities, there should be no contest, Annie Duke is absolutely the best one on the show, by far.
I used to work on Wall Street and when I watch Annie I get the same adrenaline rush that I used to get on the Street. Annie you rule!

I am still stunned that Joan (who is a Jew) could make such an accusation against Annie and I’m stunned on many different levels.
First of all, if what Joan says is true about her family being Holocaust survivors, then she is completely out of place making such an accusation against someone who is a professional GAME PLAYER and has absolutely NOTHING to do with any of that mishigash!
Secondly, she is demeaning her own jewishness by using Hitler to berate another human being and, in the process, is disrespecting the memories of the millions of people who died at the hand of this terrible person and his death machine.

Well I must say that the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice proved to be interesting. It’s a shame that Jesse was fired. No matter what the outcome of the finale is, I wish you the best of luck in all of your endeavors.

Joan’s gonna win this thing for sure. Even though it’s like Annie is Michael Phelps and Joan is an angry ski-jumper and they’re competing in swimming, Trump will still annoint her no matter how badly she screws up. That British guy was the best player last year, but he only won because he was competing against another less well known celeb.
In a way, Joan played this somewhat smart. I think she knew she couldn’t compete and decided to act like a little kid knowing America loves nothing better than rude or cheesy behavior, based on her past experiences with reality tv. Good call, Joan–and at least she studied up and remembered the name of her charity.
Wow.. way to go Annie (and Brande too) . I had a tear too when you beat Clint. Well Done.

Joan is crazy a crazy b****. The only reason she’s in the top 2 is for ratings, and because Trump has just refused to fire her. She has slipped up on multiple occasions, and has done nothing but get personal in the board rooms. Joan is the lowest of the low, and I hope she fails. Why QVC lets her publish all her hateful slander, I have no idea. If anything that just makes them look bad.
That said, I truly think Annie deserves to win this whole thing, and I believe she will. She’s a stronger competitor, an overall better person, and she’s a stronger player. I will be extremely disappointed if Annie does not win.
On a side note, who are the three people Annie and Joan are given to work with? We know Annie is given Dennis next week, but I couldn’t see anybody else.

I admire Annie’s restraint in never putting her fist through Joan’s face. I could ignore her stupid slams, but the 300th time she cut me off I would have jumped up and slapped her. Annies claim to fame is going to be Celeb Apprentice whereas Joan has a life time of success and ground breaking successes that go well beyond some reality shows “board room” Annie is a small fish trying to create the illusion of being a shark. I loved what someone else said about her on another board. She really is nothing but a pro con artist but she’s very bad at it when you have to go after a ditz like Brande to use because the rest can see right through her. I think Trump is going to pulverize her in the end and tell her it was so much more then calling up other gamblers and begging for money.
