+Episode 8 of Celebrity Apprentice: Joan Rivers, Hitler and Godwin’s Law
Tonight we saw the completion of the jewelry auction. The show opened with Phil Hellmuth calling me to let me know that the other team had contacted him. He also told me that a friend and business associate was the one who helped Natalie Gulbis out in trying to get him to bid against me. Obviously, I nipped that one in the bud right away so for everyone who has been wondering during the week if Phil Hellmuth was going to betray me…you have your answer. No way! Poker players are tight and I don’t think there is anyone KOTU could have called who would have helped them. Even if they had called a player who actually wasn’t one of my dear friends I doubt they would have seen the utility in coming out against me like that. I love my friends and I love poker players!
Anyway, on to the auction. I was really proud of my team in our auction. I think everyone did an amazing job. Jesse was under represented on the episode because he was the one who really organized the auction itself and I don’t think that was shown. He figured out where to seat our donors, coached people on bidding against our guys to make the auction seem really exciting and made the beautiful auction brochure. Brande brought in a ton of money and did a great job with the models. Melissa, depsite her constant complaining that I did not praise her enough, did a great job with the jewelry and was a wonderful stage manager for the actual show. And I was very happy with my auctioning skills. All in all we raised over $150K profit in that auction! And my friends were amazing in their support. Also, Stewey Rahr, Brande’s donor, was just so generous with us. In fact, we was so sweet that he even bid on one of the other team’s items just because he felt bad for them. You are a good man, Stewey Rahr.
Anyway, on to KOTU’s auction. Well. What is there to say? It was an unmitigated disaster. The series of decisions that were made in regard to that show were pretty astonishingly poor. In particular, I think the decision to put all the bidders on one piece was terrible. Yes, the task is in the end judged on money raised. But this is Ivanka Trump’s jewelry and it is absolutely an insult to her to have pieces of hers not even sell. I feel that decision was inexcusable. Also, I can’t fathom why Joan didn’t come out immediately and take the mic from Clint. I am not sure why it took her so long because it was clear that Clint was completely failing at the auctioneer job. And then poor Natalie. I feel that Natalie was set up right from the start. It made no sense for her to be the one picking out the jewelry. That should have been Joan’s job. She designs and sells jewelry for a living after all. But even so, Natalie was picking jewelry she knew the donors wanted without being told they had decided to not have the donors bid on but one piece. That is a set up, plain and simple.
So we go into the boardroom and the first thing that happens is I praise Melissa for the amazing jewelry she picked out. I find that ironic since Melissa had spent the whole show griping about how she wasn’t getting enough praise for all the great things she was doing. I wonder if Melissa was surprised and somewhat chagrined after all her whining in private at all the praised heaped on her at that moment.
Trump then turned his attention to KOTU and here is where I think it gets interesting because as Trump is quizzing Joan about her inability to raise money (she raised a paltry $8K on this challenge, by far the least on her team) Melissa jumps in to defend her mother. Piers, rightly so, remarks on this, wondering why Melissa is defending a member of the other team. She says she is defending Joan because she is her mother and Piers says so what? It is a game and that doesn’t matter. She is defending a member of KOTU while not defending a member of her own team. Piers felt this was inexcusable and I must say I agree with him. If Melissa wants to figure out why I turned my back on her, since she keeps remarking on it, she need look no further than her behavior in this boardroom where she never once puts her mother in her place as her mother viciously attacks me (as evidenced by the painful, reluctant response of Melissa to the question about whether or not I am a bad person). But the moment her mother is attacked by Trump or by Piers or by Ivanka, Melissa jumps right in to defend her even though she is not on her team.
Now this dynamic makes the game very interesting to play because, while there are two teams on the show in Athena and KOTU, there is also a third team: Team Rivers. That means that the other players have to be very aware of this dynamic and know that if they go against one, they will be attacked and ganged up on by the other. I was certainly aware of this.
Anyway, during the attacks, Joan Rivers compares me to Hitler. How fun! First, let me say that I find comparing anything that happens on Celebrity Apprentice to the slaughter of 6 million Jews to be offensive. But aside from that, I find the comparison to be absurd, so absurd in fact that there is really no response to it. Anyone interested should check out Godwin’s Law. What Godwin’s Law states is basically that the longer an argument continues in a newsgroup on the internet that the probability that someone references Hitler or the Nazi’s approaches 100%. I guess we need to add a corollary for reality tv now! Another corollary of the law is that once that happens, the argument ends. This because there is no where to go from there. The comparison is so absurd that there is no response and, in fact, responding would trivialize the Holocaust itself.
So for anyone who is wondering why I didn’t attack Joan in the boardroom, this is why. What exactly am I suppsoed to say to her? That I’ve never invaded Poland? That I have never killed anyone? It was just so silly and offensive and responding would have handed the power back to Joan so I held my tongue and just tried to act as professionally as possible. But, make no mistake, I was totally steaming inside. And hurt. I did not enjoy the vicious, personal attacks and watching Melissa defend her mother in that boardroom, well my thoughts mirrored Piers. Who’s team was Melissa on? It was clear from that boardroom that there was only one team she cared about and it was neither KOTU nor Athena, it was team Rivers.
The verdict was delivered and not only did Athena win but we set a record for money raised in a single week with a grand total of $245K for Refugees International. They are an amazing charity, advocating for the over 40 million refugees around the world, and really deserve the money. I am so honored to be playing for them on the show. In the end, this is why I did the show, to help organizations just like this one not only raise money but also raise awareness about such an important cause.
Anyway, on to the firing of Natalie Gulbis. I find that firing illogical and believe that Joan was setting Natalie up for that from the beginning. For all Joan’s tears in the boardroom, she spent a tremendous amount of time in her private interviews bashing both Natalie and Clint and there was no doubt she was setting them up for failure. And yet I feel that pretty no much matter how you look at the task, Joan was the one at fault here. There are only two ways to judge this task:
1) Say that the task was solely about money raising and the show did not matter.
Joan made this argument because when Piers, Ivanka and I all criticized Joan for the decision to not insure that all the pieces sold, Joan argued vehemently that this task was just about the money. But Joan raised the least money on her team by far, only bringing in $8K as PM of a money raising task. Natalie, depsite failing to bring in Phil Hellmuth, managed to bring in more than Joan. So if the task is just about money, as Joan argued, then she should be fired since she raised the least by far (which was not made clear on the show).
2) Say that the money didn’t matter so much as the show.
Well Joan argued against this as a criteria for firing but, even so, Joan should still be on the chopping block if we go this way. Joan sent Natalie to pick the jewelry when clearly that should have been Joan’s job. Joan made the decision, as project manager, to put all the donors on one piece of jewelry, insuring that some pieces would not sell which had to embarass Ivanka trump. Joan did not step in as auctioneer quickly enough. All around, Joan made a lot of mistakes in her decisions here.
Now if you go with (2) then you could also argue for Clint going since he really screwed up that auction. But Natalie seems to me to be in third place in terms of who to fire, by the criteria that Joan herself put forth. When they went in the boardroom, for all Joan’s tears, she never suggested that she was responsible for the loss (as pretty much every other project manager had). She allowed Natalie to take the fall, never once stepping in in her defense or suggesting, perhaps, that Clint might be another choice. Joan set the bus in motion and as soon as she had the chance, ran Natalie right under the wheels. Well done.
Now, I am going to quickly cover the Schwann’s Challenge. I will look at team Athena first. Jesse was project manager here and was somewhat hard to work with. I am a huge fan of Jesse’s but he really locked us out on the marketing side of things. On the food side, Jesse and I butted heads about what to make but, in the end, I agreed to cook all three dishes so we could have a taste test. Jesse was really pushing for the chili. The rest of us wanted the turkey meatballs because they were original and originality was a huge piece of the puzzle. I am glad I pushed so hard for that dish and that Melissa and Brande backed me up because the originality, in the end, was so important. One thing about me, I do push on things but only if I truly believe I am right and in this case I really felt strongly about the originality piece. I think Brande put it best, that Chili is something you can get out of any can but turkey meatballs with gluten free pasta was something unusual and different.
In terms of our marketing plan, I have to confess I was completely freaking out about it. Jesse did not share any details with us at all. I had really been in charge of the marketing plan on most of the challenges, that was kind of my niche. So I was having a Type A, control freak crisis about not seeing any of the marketing. I kept calming myself down by telling myself that I had complete faith in Jesse and Melissa to execute something great since they are both smart people. So imagine my surprise when I walked in that boardroom and found out we had no marketing plan at all! (That was the first I had heard about that). I wanted to die! Sometimes Type A control freaks have a right to be freaking out!
One thing that wasn’t shown was that Brande made an awesome dessert. For some reason it isn’t made clear in that episode that Brande made the dessert. I think it was the single best tasting thing we produced and the Schwann’s guys agreed.
On to KOTU: I think Clint made some really good points. I think he was absolutely right to say that chicken was not the way to go. We had discussed chicken on Athena and decided that too many of their dishes were already chicken dishes so it would not be judged original enough. Clint voiced his opinion about this but no one backed him up so he was over ruled. If originality is the reason they lose well Clint can’t be blamed for that. Clint also voiced very strong opinions about the dessert and, in fact, they were the exact opinions of the executives…that the dessert would not freeze well and would be complicated to package. Another point for Clint. Where Clint falls down on this episode is in the marketing plan. Clint went with a TV campaign but the executives made it clear that they do not advertize on TV (until this episode!). That was a big fall down on Clint’s part. But, on balance here, I think that Clint had more going for him on this challenge than against him.
When we got to the boardroom, Trump asked Melissa what she thought of how we did. Amazingly enough, she immediately ran down the food, saying that if we lost it would be because of the food! That was pretty cheeky from a woman in charge, with Jesse, of a marketing plan that never got produced. The question was really, in the end, whether our food was good enough and original enough to overcome the lack of any marketing campaign at all. And, apparently despite Melissa’s opinion that the food should have lost it for us, our food was so good and so original that we won the challenge depsite not even completing the marketing piece. They specifically cited the gluten free pasta and the use of turkey as very original and key in our win which vindicates my arguing so strongly for that piece. They also specifically cited Brande’s dessert in the taste category, saying it was the single best thing they had all day.
As for KOTU, they liked Clint’s chicken dish but hated the dessert and thought there was no originality to the food. They also felt the TV campaign was, in some ways, worse than the no campaign at all produced by Athena. So who should be fired? It seems like Joan is safe somewhat by fiat because she actually managed to make zero major decisions despite being on only a three man team. That leaves Clint and Herschel. Now, there are arguments both ways. If Trump feels the marketing piece ultimately caused the failure, then Clint must go. If Trump feels the lack of originality and the dessert caused the failure, then Herschel must go since Clint was on record in disagreeing strongly with those decisions. Ultimately, the marketing can’t have failed the task, really, since Athena did not even produce a marketing campaign to compare it too. Therefore, it must be the food and in that case Herschel must go. So Trump did the right thing here.
Next week, more good times as Joan calls Brande a dumb blonde and calls me and my friends white trash!
Vegas Poker, that’s the difference between annie and he. Annie actually has ample reason to hate him, but I simply can’t see her showing up on some reality to show to support his opponent, because it’s bad for poker. It’s about maturity, class and taking the high road, not being personal and petty and making a jerk of yourself backing up people who think poker players are criminals because of a ridiculous feud.
Karen Duffy – An Almay model was diagnosed with sarcoidosis – she told the story of a red carpet event she was to attend the day her hair began to fall out due to her treatments. She threw on a hat only to have the ilk of Joan Rivers bemoaning her look. I guess you have to be careful what you say. Think Kharma Joan.
Annie, I believe you will win the celebrity apprentice. The only reason I started watching Celebrity Apprentice was because I have been a longtime fan of Tom Green and also of Dennis Rodman from the Bulls era. As a poker player, I also know who you are but I didn’t realize you were going to be on the show until the first episode. You and Jesse James stand the best chance to win. Tom also had a decent shot and I think he was unfairly eliminated earlier on. Ultimately, it should end up you vs Jesse but Trump needs ratings so it will probably be you vs Joan.
Annie, you are , indeed, superwoman! I find people with little minds attack women who not only see the big picture but can create it-you behaved like a lady with all the rantings of a woman who has to result to insults to get attention. It is a shame she is so jealous of you because she is missing out on your friendship.
You were really great on both tasks and handled yourself with grace throughout the boardroom meetings. You really shone this week.
Melissa and Joan *do* have their own team and it’s a bit sad. They should perhaps spend a little more on therapy and less at the plastic surgeon but then the internal work is always tougher than external work.
I’m worried there was a little sabotage this week from Jesse. He has aced the marketing every week and totally impressed everyone. I think he sees you as quite a threat to winning the competition. In the first task he raised very little and was busted for it in the boardroom. His game plan is clearly to hold onto those donors for the end and if he has to go up against you then he’ll have plenty of money to call upon. In the second task, I think he was also hoping that the chili would be chosen for a reason, it’s just not as original. He’s smart, he would know that. Also, to team up with Melissa and do nothing really gave away his hand. I think he was hoping this would cause the task to fail and he would be able to put your name forward in the boardroom.
It will be interesting to see how this progresses.
Hi Annie!
Just wanted to shout out support for YOU and that I so HOPE that J R and her bratty daughter go out together and SOON! They are so obnoxious to watch.JR’s comments about you were outrageous! Mr Trump has been OFF target with many firings this year! Clint should have been gone by now. Khloe K should still be there. JR and Melissa should both have been cut by now for insubordination! oh well I guess he sees her as an “older” lady who’s been around forever. Best of Luck.
Melissa and her mother Joan Rivers’ twittering is quite hilarious. I still do not understand why Donal Trump selected Melissa to be in the Celebrity Apprentice show. She does not fit at all. Beyond that, I can sense that Joan Rivers’ object is to help her daughter win in the show, she does not even care about herself. At sometimes earlier, I hope you all remember, she mentioned that she would leave if her daughter gets fired. I hope in the end Mr. Donald Trump makes the good decision because I truly believe he is a good decision maker.

So Joan can hate Clint, and now they are best friends… but Annie can’t be a friend to Brandie?”
EXCELLENT POINT!
I knew right off that Phil was not going to go against you because first, he is your friend, and if Natalie was paying attention, I believe that you called Phil before when she was on your team and he donated to ATHENA on a previous challenge. Secondly, poker players are not going to cross each other over bullshit. This was bullshit. Joan & Melisa are pathetic creatures and have no friends. It is kind of sad in a way. There venom is so toxic to everyone around them but also to themselves but they do not have the insight to see this. Truly sad. I fear that their destiny in life, particularly Melissa’s, will be very lonely.
Hi Annie.
Just wanted to show some support. I’m definitely routing for you to win! Joan Rivers looked so crazy these last few episodes… like seriously bat sh*t crazy. Good luck in your poker tournament!
Kaffil Udin,
You can read Donald Trumps blog post asto why he hired Melissa Rivers here. Whether it’s bullshit or truth, is another story!

Annie,
Love a strong, intelligent mama out there working it. Am proud of you. Love your willingness to stick your neck out for what you believe in on your team. Love your commitment to get the job done. Love your intensity and love that you don’t apologize for your awesomeness. Great role model!
Annie,
I don’t know if you read this blog but I hope you do. I’m in marketing and own my own business. It seems obvious to me that Donald Trump is not following practical rules any business in America would. Just calling someone a Nazi is enough to put people in jeopardy these days. And honestly can anyone who looks like Joan or Melissa ever run a hotel. I think people would not be able to get by their weird looking faces. Your looks do matter in the hospitality industry. I think that you by far have put your money where your mouth is and that you would be an asset to any team you chose to be on. The others are scared of you. For Joan to say you are a back stabber is so silly when she as you point out clearly said Clint was a n “a-hole.” and she went on to say some very vicious and degrading things about him as well. Joan failed to lead in the jewelry competition – simple as that. She allowed unqualified people to do jobs that clearly someone else should have done. I think it is chicken shit for DT to not tell how much money each person raised but I think that is so he can try to defend his own position for keeping Joan. For Melissa to say that this is not a conversation to have in front of anyone else just reeks of hollywood cronies. Brother! Anyway Annie the one to really watch for is Jesse – he knows when to hold’em. Keep going, you’re the only one who is teaching anyone anything about what it might take to actually run a company – which is what this show is supposed to be about. Win BIG!
I think it will be Annie vs Jessie or Annie vs Joan in the finale.
Annie,
You know, Joan can’t do everything. According to your blog, she should have raised tons of money, picked out the jewelry, and been the auctioneer? Come on.
I think both of you are blowing this out of proportion. I would hope that you would defend your mother rather than care about winning some shallow TV game show. Melissa doesn’t want to sell herself out for the sake of the crown. That’s more respectable than winning something on false pretenses and phoniness.
And one more thing, why should Joan step in for Natalie? Like you said, it’s a game right?
And sorry, but the cupcakes weren’t about making the bakers look good, the wedding dresses weren’t about making the designers look good. Ivanka may not have liked the pricing strategy, but since it proved to be effective, she should ask herself what the priority is: her image or the charity? Just because she is a Trump doesn’t entitle her to special consideration. And keep in mind that the money KOTU raised (and the amount you bragged about setting a record) benefited the charity of your choice. You should be the last to complain about their pricing strategies, unless you’re just trying to impress Ivanka.
I mean, their pricing strategy sure didn’t bother you when you handed the check over to Refugees international.
Hey, Annie. I want to let you know I appreciate you writing these blogs every week. It really puts a neat perspective on the show reading your blog. To be honest, I can’t say I agree with everything you’ve done/will do, but I can say that you are a smart player.
Keep up the blog work. I enjoy it.
Thanks.

Can you spell C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S !
ugh
Andrew, if my mother called someone Hitler under any circumstances, I would DIE of embarassment and shame. Defend her? I would be too busy apologizing to the other person and writing a check to a Holocaust charity to atone. Out of family loyalty, I would not embarass my mother in front of other people by really telling her off on how disgraceful and inappropriate and just wrong her behavior is, but I would make it absolutely clear it was totally unacceptable and she needed to apologize. I love my mother, but no I can’t condone crossing a line with defending such indefensible and crazy behavior. And if I acted like a nut and started attacking people, I wouldn’t want my family members to just stand there and let me go on embarassing myself and the other people, either. It’s not selling yourself out to act like an adult in a civilized society, and your mother will thank you later. I feel sorry for Melissa if she has to go through life watching her mother steamroll people and turn every dispute into some kind of personal attack never daring to speak up and do the right thing.
Annie, I agree that you’re a great role model. I love how confident and comfortable in your own skin you are.
“Andrew says:

. . . Just because she is a Trump doesn’t entitle her to special consideration.”
Uh, welcome to the real business world?
Um, in the real world, good luck raising money for charity if you deliberately embarass the sponsors who put up the goods, forget the boss’s kid. Burn them once, they won’t help you out again, and neither will anyone else.
This may shock you but yes it is as much about pr as charity (notice how the goods weren’t donated but just discounted). You shouldn’t win a show about business by acting unprofessional and using really stupid unrealistic strategy.
For all to enjoy
Let’s make it a caption challenge

“…turn every dispute into some kind of personal attack..”
yep that’s pretty much what it’s been
Annie,
Finally got to watch Sunday’s episode last night. I was at home by myself hooting & hollering, and jumping up and down on the couch! It was by far, the most entertaining episode I’ve seen on Apprentice, EVER. I could not believe what Joan was saying…it was over-the-top, even by reality show standards. Crazy Shit! Your turkey meatballs looked delicious. I loved your comment about the “good at cookin’, and good at blow jobs.” Too Funny. Brande made one comment that made me shout out loud again – - she said that it would take a lot to hang out with you for an entire dayl. I screamed out, “Bullshit! Sign me on!”
Godwins law applies yet again!
Annie is it really worth continually dwelling on this? You want apologies, well maybe you owe Natalie one for attempting to chew her out for the very same thing you would do if you had a chance.
Why is it such a horrible thing that Natalie contacted people in the poker world to raise money against you. You’re just upset because you didn’t think of an idea like that first. You ARE a snake.
Your play has been fabulous! But no matter how the game turns out, you hve won by refusing to sink to Joan’s level and staying the course on the high road! Very classy!
And its all undercored by Melissa’s half-baked attempts to sidestep her mother’s behavior. Even she knew it was, way over the top!
Personally I liked everyone on the show that started EXCEPT Melissa Rivers. However Annie, you are coming across as a real b****. You are no better than JOan. Maybe you two are alike and that is why you clash. I really have little respect left for you.

Melissa confronts Brande in this 2 min vid whining about how she knows that Brande and Annie are conspiring against her.
In the beginning I respected how smart Melissa is in the game but her behavior has totally let me down. She’s just like her pathetic mother, sadly.
P.S.
Sandari, you and I must be watching 2 different shows because even though Annie is forceful and direct, I’ve never seen her be a bitch yet. I’ve seen her defend herself against the ruthless unprofessional endless rants of a lunatic though…
New Spoiler alert and clip
Another spoiler video and article has surfaced. it leads me to believe that 100% Joan is getting fired this week- if it’s not her, I’ll be highly surprised.
great long clip-

Don’t ask Annie to comment on this people as we all know she is contractually obligated to keep her mouth shut!
I love your game play. I know you will win. YOu’re a smart woman (but called a bitch). I just wish you wouldn’t use ‘I’, I, I, I, I so much. I really respect you as a woman, but people that take all the credit, even if it was all you, can be quite difficult. No, not Hitler, white trash, and whatever else they dish out, but it is annoying. But I think you’re going to win. you always have great ideas (although you push too hard sometimes..there are more subtle ways to get your point across and win…I’ll teach ya sometime
. Go annie for the win!!!
Hey Annie – the first time I found out that you’re a poker champ was on Celebrity Apprentice. And watching you playing the game and standing your ground in the board room – I said to myself: Man, my money is on THAT one! Let’s face it: You are using the same strategy that serves you at tht table. I’m not saying that you never piss me off, but I’m smart enough and have had enough therapy to know that the same things that piss me off about you, are the same things that piss me off about MYSELF… so I just laugh and say “there she goes again…” So just keep doing what you are doing, and let all the little crybabies and complainers go home. You never complain, you always use what’s available, every task you wind up reuniting with someone you already know – Like David Lee for example – and the auction guy. WHO CARES? However you know ‘em, whoever you know – you told them to get out their checkbooks and write that big fat check! Because, no matter what Joan and Little “Cry Me A River” says – it’s COMPLETELY about making massive amounts of cash for your favorite charity – and that is EXACTLY what you are doing, girl!!!!
Keep it up – you are slammin’! A new fan, Cynthia
Annie, I think you are a strong female and is nice to see more strong females out there being exposed, with such competitive attitude. But personality wise you seemed on the show like a really egotistical and self centered person.
Perhaps this is not the way you truly are and it’s a case of the producers editing the show wanted to bring out this type of personality to make the show more interesting. Which made you seem like a controlling individual who thinks their shit doesn’t stink, again this is based on the show. Per the way you portrayed yourself on TV, you don’t seem to earn people’s love and money, instead you push people for love and money. Which works really well when it comes to raising money but not good when it comes to establishing “real” friendships. You may have money and know famous people but I can guarantee that a lot of your friends are not real friends that would honestly stick up for you unless you push them to do so.
Btw, whoever does your site fire them, I hope you push them to do it for free.
hi annie!
i am on poker news daily defending you against all the melissa and joan rivers supporters. i just read the interview they did after the show had aired and i agree with you.
the game is personal because you want to win and win money for your charity, but there is no need to lose your composure or respect and act like a raving lunatic or a hyena. i watch every season of the apprentice, but i wasn’t going to watch this year because i felt that the tasks were uninteresting, despite some of the cast, and i remember when piers won last year i kept thinking that a poker player would be great on the show. i thought that trump would get phil or mike the mouth or even daniel on the show, but i saw all of them playing internationally, and around the country so i was really excited when it was leaked that you would be on the show. most people i know were like who’s this annie duke and why is she famous, but i knew you would win the show and be in the final against a rivers (joan moslty because even though melissa is 40 she is more childish than her mother), so all in all i’m excited, not about the drama but about how the game is being played. i didn’t think jesse would last and i think clint would have gone further if he wasn’t so much like who he is, but then he wouldn’t be clint black. i thought you had the best and more commercial jingle and i think you had the right train of thought in saying brandi as number 1 competition and joan over jesse as a competitor. i think ivanka caught on that maybe you wanted to face joan to make it more personal (which you did say at the end of the boardroom scene) so yeah. i think if the last task is throwing an event and raising the most money it would turn out better between you and brandi but i don’t mind joan rivers, because she’s good for the tv raitings with her brand of crazy. i’m excited to see what happens next week. i know you’ll do great and come through in the end. team annie all the way.
ALSO I CAN’T BELIEVE JOAN OR MELISSA RIVERS IS TWEETING THEIR BRAND OF POOP. ugh. you don’t have to like everyone but you can atleast be cordial and straight up in the way you act. you guys are all adults. i can’t believe some of what i have seen this season.
oh and i agree about the setting up natalie. lol. i was thinking the same thing, and and and tonight when clint knew joan was gonna throw him under the bus when it probably should have been jesse who was gone from the past two episodes alone…and when jesse had a facial twitch (i thought he was laughing inside) when joan said she hates having to do the dirty and tell trump who to fire.
i’m happy with the season so far. i was right in who i thought would be in the final and i know who’s going to win.
also i’m sure the show was edited to highlight certain things, and i’ve been following your career for a while so i wasn’t surprised by your behaviour. you play the game the way you play poker and the way you behave is how you really are…unlike some people who front all the time, but you are your authentic self. people don’t have to love you, but i can understand how if they don’t know who you are they would probably not take a liking to you.
infact i wish i was probably more like you in the way i act. i’m one of those people who always gives and never gets anything and doesn’t have the balls to live life or do what i want, speak my mind, man up, or voice my ideas. so yeah i live a lot of my life in fear and unhappiness, but don’t think everyone hates you. i think anyone who watches the series will get to know some of the people they see as “celebrities” as real people.
goodluck on the finale. i know you’ll win it!!!!!!!!!!!! team annie.
also you’re website isn’t bad. the layout and background is a little bland but it’s not as bad as what the last person was saying. gah. some people. sheesh.
anne duke should have won, that was such crap. she made more money and won more events. Why did rivers try to deny that she wasn’t the cause of the decorators quitting, of course she was. Why was that even in question. I wish when rivers was questioning dukes character, anne would have mentioned that the guy that gave rivers her start in show business (Johnny carson), rivers backstabbed, the guy who she should have been indebted to for life, she double crosses, and he wouldn’t speak to her for the rest of his life, and went to the grave not wanting anything to do with her, I wonder what she did?
f joan rivers…..i actually got mad at the show tonight. annie played better and raised a ton more….that was crap but at least annie doesn’t look like an alien and have a crazy spoiled brat daughter! annie, you won in my book and your cause got more money without even winnig the 250k grand prize. i wouldn’t have even touched that old hag’s hand after the show
Just watched the final Celebrity Apprentice and I loved the fact that Joan Rivers Beat Annie Duke at her own game, manipulation and control. She played you perfectly and you fell right into it! LOL. Nice try, Annie. You are as phony as Joan’s face
stick to poker, sweetie.
YOUR FRIENDS? What friends, the ones posting what a true train wreck you are and glad america gets to see the REAL you.. sad lonely pathetic and miserable with yourself. How did it feel to almost knock down an old lady at the end of the finale? So happy to see your face light up and then that light was SLAPPED right off your face. KARMA baby KARMA
I’ve lost a lot of respect for Donald Trump after selecting Joan Rivers as the celebrity apprentice. He buckled and gave it to Joan because of what people would think of him.
Annie was by far the best candidate – she raised the most money and was the most productive and effective throughout the entire show. Period. Can not be debated.
I probably won’t watch next year – because this isn’t about who is the most productive – it’s about who would push Donald’s image in a more positive light at the end of the day. Shame on you Trump.
Annie you were the best player – but Donald changed the rules at the end, you should have been the apprentice – you have been the most fun to watch and learn from – Congrats on your accomplishments and keeping your honor.
The most memorable moment of the evening was when I,I,I annie smiled broadly at Donald Trump then started to stand up to claim the ransom when she was fired. It was so very laugh out loud funny to see me,me,me annie the ruthless (who tried to degrade Joan Rivers)demean and humiliate herself.Indeed at work this AM annie I,I,I was the joke of the day!
“ANNIE YOUR FIRED!” THE BEST WORDS I EVER HEARD FROM DONALD TRUMP. JOAN RIVER’S WAS THHE CLEAR WINNER – LOVE YA JOAN.
All those that say.. boohoo “I won’t watch next year” who cares? Do you really think the show will be taken off the air because YOU don’t watch. You sound as arrogant as she does! EVERY YEAR THE FINALE HAS THE SAME RULES…. THE MONEY IS ONLY PART OF THE DECISION. Annie made a fool of herself and shed a bad light on poker players. She raised the money just like she said in the interview that she would. I will call all my poker player friends, tell them I’m trying to crush Joan and then tell them what she said about them.. IT DIDN’T WORK. You can’t buy class…
sheri, or should i just call you joan rivers, please shut your mouth. Not one word you have said on this site had made any sense. You are an annie duke hater and for some unknown reason you are in love with a bitch named joan rivers, who has had more plastic surgury than michael jackson. The shows result was an absolute joke. Joan rivers should of been the 6th or 7th person fired, she wasn’t even there for 3 events. And Sheri, fuck you.
I am really sorry you lost. I didn’t watch any episodes this year except the final. I was amazed how biased Trump was for Rivers. It was sad to see. I really got emotionally caught up in this finale and must say I was very disturbed by what I saw. We clearly saw Joan Rivers act like she was above it all and Trump played along. When you told the truth about what happened with the room designer, they slapped you down. You told the truth and everyone saw that but they slapped you down and wouldn’t allow you to present that truth. I totally lost all respect for Trump and this show. Rivers true colors showed through – what a bitch. She betrayed Johnny Carson and now this. I wish you well Annie. Hold your head high. I could see what a very nice person you are and wish you the best. I felt you played the game with honor.
Annie, you did the best you could, but here’s a real chuckle if they have show #3 can you just imagine Joan Rivers interveiwing the final two. Like Peirs did. Annie all i can say is you did good. All the people who got fired before Melissa didn’t carry on run all around and swear. I never once saw you throw a glass and pack your little bag and go home and quit. I believe that it was a setup from the start. You have alot of fans. Oh yeah that jingle was really good. Maybe you should write songs….you beat out Clint Black!
Annie you were great on apprentice and stand for what america is all about, even when the cards are against you, you can defeat the odds!
as far as joan and trump. talk about trash!
love ya annie
