You were AMAZING Annie. I absolutely HATE the fact that you lost. I know Joan scored better on that last task, but after the way she behaved, I honestly CANNOT believe that anyone would want to take her side, much less let her win a competition because of it!

Anyways, I know my comment is more than a little late, but I just wanted you to know you handled yourself really well, you have an amazing charity, and since you cannot publicly say it, allow me to say it for you…

i love joan river … i m sorry anie, but you were a doble face through all the show and i think if you were played the game using your “poker face” you’d won the celebrety apprentice, but you were very mean and that was very clear since the beginning… so, sorry… and i wish the best for you, keeping doing your best, but always recalls the poker attitude just work in poker games, don´t play with the people because you could end bad.

I could not agree more with iambezoar. The way the Rivers women, in particular Joan, behaved is disgusting. And it all started from a very small incident, and Joan went and turned a mole-hill into a mountain: Duke told Joan that she wanted Brande fired, but she changed her mind and wanted someone else (can’t remember who) fired, not Melissa I must emphasize, and Joan exploded at this. Is it un-reasonable for someone to change their mind? Duke simply changed her mind, and she didn’t even go after Joan’s daughter. Did it warrant the disgusting response from Joan? Definitely not. It shows Joan to be an idiotic, insensitive, crass woman, the insults and vitriol she threw at Duke. Whenever Duke said anythng, no matter how well-reasoned, Joan would attack her. And how could Melissa, who was on another team, support her mother and attack her teammate Duke? Then Joan walks out twce, does not raise a lot of money even though she knows so many rich people, and she stll wins! Unbeleivable!

I know this is an old thread and I’m likely posting into cyberspace but with the advent of the new Celebrity Apprentice, which opens with an appearance by Joan Rivers I was motivated to download her season and watch it. Going into this knowing who won I am constantly surprised by the eventual outcome. I am even more surprised to see any Annie Duke trash talk.
The reality of reality TV is that it is designed to paint people in the worst possible light to create drama, and to build heroes up so that viewers feel good when they win. It was obvious at every turn that the whole point to this season was to breathe life into Joan River’s flagging career so that she could carry her co-dependant daughter a little further in her useless life. From temper tantrums, and shattered wine glasses, storming out, and childish “I’m not listening” fingers in the ears, the Rivers hags are an embarassment.
I thought Annie Duke handled herself with class and aplomb in a difficult situation, despite an editing crew tasked with making her look bad to try and make Joan River’s behaviour seem more acceptable. Kudos to you Annie Duke.
Whew, it’s likely no one will read this, but I feel better for having written it! And thanks to downloading this season I won’t waste my time with the new season of the Celebrity Apprentice.

Have you counted how many times you say “I” in the Celebrity Apprentice? You are soooo full of yourself. And, FYI, Trump engineered (behind the scenes) the event planner quitting. He always throws in a snafu to see how you will handle it, which wasn’t very well…you pointed fingers. Get over yourself.

I think you really need to take a look at yourself and how you came off on the show. Obviously most people who follow you are going to tell you you were great, but you know what ? You werent. Your game playing tactics were all about self agrandizement. In the end you did what you were good for, brow beating your friends into donation money to your charity, which was great. But this greater picture in terms of the apprentice, was who would win overall and your tactics are that of a bulldog. You never hire the bulldog to run the show. You hire the bulldog to perform a function. Because of their tunnel vision, they arent qualified to be the overall supervisor so to speak. They are only good for one thing. That, would be you.

A foul mouthed old bitty with a connected charity. What more should we expect from the Rivers/Trump team ? I wonder how Kodak is feeling about the winner we all now get to associate with their dying business. That’s one company that really needs a fresh face, so maybe they’ll demand a recount ! Great job Annie D, despite the bad beat.

PS: the only white trash I saw on the show seemed to always have a last name of Rivers.
