+Episode 10 of Celebrity Apprentice: Jingle writing from the depths of despair (oh and I make the final 2)
Last week saw Melissa Rivers melt down, letting loose with a tirade like nothing I have ever seen on national TV. We also saw Joan Rivers quit and had a week of wondering if Joan would be back. Well, I knew Joan would be back because I figured she only quit for the drama anyway. It didn’t really matter because either way there was no upside for her to quitting. If she didn’t come back she looks like a diva drama queen who has to fight her daughter’s battles for her. If she does come back, she looks like a diva drama queen who is full of shit when she threatens to quit. Either way, she is a quitter. And I thought the one cardinal sin that you do not commit on The Apprentice was to quit. Tionne got fired for merely volunteering to come into the boardroom and support Melissa. I get that the quitting appears sympathetic because she is quitting over her daughter. But she knew when she signed up for the show that she would be against her daughter. She knew her daughter would be fired first (afterall she is Joan Rivers). And she knew she wouldn’t like the firing (who ever does). She signed up for that and knew what she was getting into. So that deep into the show when faced with the reality of what she signed up for she quits. In my book that still just makes her a quitter.
Now Melissa and Joan’s tirades came, in part, because the Rivers thought that I was manipulating Brande in some sort of conspiracy to get rid of Melissa, who they believed to be my stronger competitor. The opposite could not have been more true. Brande was by far my stronger competitor and I went against what would be good short term game playing to stick by Brande’s side. Against Melissa, Melissa has to be project manager so if we lose the next challenge she goes home since she would have PM’ed and is not an effective fundraiser. Against Brande, on the other hand, I have to be Project Manager so if we lose I go home since Brande is such an effective fundraiser and I am the PM. I knew that going into last week’s challenge. I knew it was to my advantage to take Melissa with me. But Brande deserved it more. Brande was my friend. She was the better player. So I went against my short term best interest in recommending Melissa get fired but I really felt it was in my long term best interested because I could then live with myself after the game.
Well, we go into task delivery and man, I have this big moment of regret on that decision. First, of course, Joan comes back in grand entrance style. Then we find out we are writing a jingle and a 30 second spot for Chicken of the Sea. A jingle? WTF? With Clint Black, grammy award winning songwriter on the other team? Are you kidding me? I know we have lost before we even start. I know I am going home. And somehow I feel it is justice. I recommended Melissa get fired when it was in my interest to keep her, the weaker player, around. With Brande on my team I am, indeed, PM which means we cannot lose the challenge. Period. Or I go home. I have been more than willing to take credit where credit is due me for what I do in the tasks (too much for most people’s liking, agreed). So it is some sort of poetic justice that I am going to die by my own overconfident sword.Whatever. I deserve it.
So Brande and I immediately are in the crappiest of crappy moods. I mean we are total BITCHES because we are in the depths of despair. We are already facing the boardroom in our minds. And we don’t like it. We get it together just enough to research Chicken of the Sea before our meetings with the execs. What we found out in that meeting was that the execs 1) like radio spots that are more serious and informative 2) Chicken of the Sea is bought by moms overwhelmingly and 3) The jingle should be catchy for kids because it is their moms who by the product.
Okay, so that meeting got us some focus and I immediately tasked Brande with putting together the 30 second spot while I went to work on the jingle. On the van ride over, I find out that while I always thought of myself as the least musical person on the planet it turns out that crown would go to Brande. I actually forbade her to sing! So I gave myself the jingle job by default. During the van ride over, me and Brande’s attitudes really changed. I think we realized the absurdity of what we had been tasked with. And we just decided to try to have as much fun as possible with the whole thing. I mean, I jsut got it into to my head that if I go home from The Celebrity Apprentice because I lost in a song writing challenge to Clint Black. Whatever. I could hold my head up high. From that point on we wpent much of the day just laughing our asses off.
In the midst of all the laughter, we did get our work done. Brande and I discussed the 30 second spot being a conversation between two moms on a playground and after we had the concept she went to work writing it and rehearsing it with Maddie (our singer). I went to work on the jingle and was dismayed to find out that despite the fact that we had professional musicians they were not allowed to write a single note for us. Dammit. I had some fantasy that we would write the lyrics and kind of hum a little but the musicians would do the actual work. Not so. Had to write every damn note.
So, Brande left me alone with the guy on guitar and I can’t explain what happened. Don Jr. had come by earlier and said he liked our lyrics. I figured out that lyrics to jingles just really have to mention the brand name a lot of times and I just went with that in writing it. That boosted my confidence some. But I still to this day don’t have any idea how I wrote the song. I just started humming notes and was trying to think contemporary yet nostalgic and out popped this jingle. Here are the lyrics:
Moms they want it fresh
Kids they want it fast
Chicken of the Sea is the name you can trust
Chicken of the Sea is the tuna that you know
For a healthy choice anywhere at home or on the go
Ask any mermaid you happen to sea
What’s the best tuna, Chicken of the Sea
I pretty much went with jingle writing 101 there (after researching jingles on the internet). I hit all the brand points of health and convenience moms and kids and repeated the brand name three times. Brande included all the same brand points in her 30 second spot and also included all the different products in the product line, like the fact they also carry other seafoods like salmon. Between the two I think we hit all the messaging and Brande did amazing voice over work for the 30 second spot.
After watching the reaction of our musicians to the jingle we had done I really came out of the depths of despair and found my hope again. They really liked what we had done. At that point I knew that if we lost it was not because we had given up, given in to our hopelessness in the task. If we lost it would just be because we couldn’t beat Clint Black in a songwriting challenge. And if that was how I got fired from Celebrity Apprentice so be it as I said before.
Before the boardroom, in my private interview, I teared up when asked about the challenge because this one was so stressful. I knew that if we lost, and at the beginning of the task I thought the possibility of that was 100%, I would be the one with my head on the chopping block having to argue myself vs Brande. And I didn’t want to have to do that. I had no desire to fight for my spot vs Brande. All I wanted was for the two of us to be in the final two together and I was stressed out at the prospect of both arguing against Brande and knowing I was going down anyway as PM of the project.
When we went in the boardroom, we got to hear KOTU’s jingle and commercial. When I heard the jingle I thought we really had a chance. I don’t think country was the right choice because it is a very narrow demographic. But more importantly I thought the song was not uptempo enough and didn’t say enough about the brand. I also didn’t think it was a song little kids would like as much as our jingle. I also didn’t like the commercial they did. That is my personal opinion, of course, but I didn’t think it was funny or informative enough. The executives did like the KOTU commercial in its tone and I am not going to argue with them on that. Their opinion matters more than mine. But they agreed that the brand messaging just wasn’t there.
The moment I knew Athena had won was when Don Jr. gave the positives and negatives of our jingle and commercial spot. All they said they didn’t like about it was we didn’t get in that the product also comes in pouches. That was it! One tiny thing on the negative list! The list of negatives for KOTU was pretty long and, yes, we did pull the victory out! At that moment Brande and I just grabbed each other in disbelief and friendship and solidarity. We had pulled through this thing together to get to the final four and we couldn;t believe we had managed to overcome such huge odds. I am embarassed that I cried in the boardroom but I was really overwhelmed by the whole two day experience.
I have to say that Clint was such a gentlemen in this challenge. He was so encouraging in that boardroom in saying that everyone has music in them and they just need to find it. He really menat that and you could see how much he just really loves what he does and really believes everyone ahs a little of that in them. And he was very gracious in the loss. The really great side of Clint really shone through that night and I hope everyone can see that, despite his drawbacks, there is a good and gracious man in there. I thought he exited with amazing class and grace. An interesting contrast to last week’s exit.
So, now we are down to the final four and we all have to go get interviewed by Piers. Before the interviews, while in the war room, Joan pointedly ignored me and Brande. And I mean pointedly. They didn’t show it but when we went in to argue for the final four in the boardroom Joan claimed to Trump that we had ignored her. WTF? I was so mad about that and glad they showed how she ignored the two of us on TV. Anyway, we go in to get interviewed by Piers and Brande is first to go. I thought it was unfair that Brande got painted as not bright enough for the final 2. Nothing could be farther from the truth. She is very smart. She runs her own business (Financially Hung) and I think she played the game brilliantly to get to the final four. In the end, the proof is in the pudding. And depsite both of the Rivers women coming at her with guns a blazing she managed to outlast Melissa quite nicely, even when it was in my best interest to have Melissa stick around. I wish people would give Brande Roderick more credit for that. But Piers didn’t see that, unfortunately so Brande ended up getting fired first.
When Piers interviewed Jesse James he mainly just pushed him on his lack of fund raising and really got on him about not leveraging his marriage to Sandra Bullock. I feel kind of two ways about this. First, I deeply respect Jesse for keeping his personal life out of The Apprentice and we should all respect his right to keep his private life private. But, on the other hand, I am disturbed by him saying that he was holding back for the end. I really felt all the charities were super important and all deserving of a share of the money raised on the show. I came out strong with the money because I really wanted to raise a lot of money for charity full stop, not just my charity in particular. So I think Jesse made a mistake there because it is really about the charities in the end. So Jesse got fired because he wouldn’t leverage his relationship with his wife. I think that is unfair. But what is fair is that he admitted to holding back. And that is a fair reason for the firing.
So that put me against Joan. When Piers interviewed Joan he gave her every opportunity to retract her statements about Hitler in regards to me. He gave her every out to say that was uncalled for and over the top. But she wouldn’t even admit those comments might have been just the littlest bit out of line. Gotta love a woman for her conviction, I guess. But Piers clearly was not happy about how personal she made her attacks and clearly agreed with me that the mother daughter thing had no place in business when they both knew what they were signing up for. In my case he just kept asking me about strategy and how I might have gotten my opponents to do what I wanted them to in the game. He also asked if I talk too much. I gave him a big fat YES on that one. No arguments there. When he asked me what my biggest fault is, which they didn’t show, I said that it is that I suffer fools so poorly. He actually said he thought that was a good thing since he is like that too. But I think it really is my absolutely worst quality. That and I talk to much
After Trump decide on me and Joan as the final two, I said I respect her. I also said later, very harshly, that I don’t like her and she has made the game personal for me. Now I want to clarify why I said in the boardroom that I respect Joan Rivers because I understand it looks weird in light of the fact that I clearly don’t like her. I do respect her in as much as I hope I could still have her energy at her age and have the longevity of her career. She is clearly a very shrewd woman and I absolutely respect that about her, I respect her ability to persevere. However, that does not mean I like her. So my comments that she has made this personal for me and that I do not like her at all as a person in my private interview are not inconsistent with what I said in the boardroom. I would like you to find me the person who can come under 10 weeks of escalating attacks, being called Hitler and worse than white trash (what office environment allows that, btw?), and still like the person delivering those attacks. By this point in the show I am angry. She has attacked me without stop. She has attacked Brande. She has attacked all poker players spewing the most hateful comments about them. She had repeatedly told me I wasn’t even allowed to talk to her because I was so beneath her. Of course I took that personally. But that does not mean I don’t respect her energy or her longevity of career. It does mean I don’t respect her tactics or her boundaries of what is acceptible behavior. I don’t think Joan could understand that I could feel both things at once because for her it is all black and white. If she doesn’t like you then you are 100% bad with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. You are worse than Hitler in her eyes.
So next week is the live Finale. I am really excited for that and busy putting on my thinking cap about ways I can argue for myself in the final boardroom. I am leaving for New York Tuesday to shoot some stuff for the show then Thursday I am going to the Refugees International Gala. Then I head back to NYC where my family is meeting me for the finale. And I am having dinner with the gay guys from room 702 (remember the hotel challenge?) I can’t wait to see them! So tune in next Sunday to see who wins! And who I end up with on my team
I can’t wait!
One comment about Joan and Melissa – Can you say TILT?
I just want to say that I think you are amazing and you are an inspiriation to me. Joan can suck it, you are going to win, hands down!
good review, however, I dont see how at any point clint was a negative or bad person in this show..
its obvious that annie was just using brande the entire time as someone that would have her back if stroked just a little bit and manipulated to a greater extent than anyone else was willing to do. then, having eliminated stronger opponents, annie had no doubt that brande would be kicked off first. annie used brande as fodder. which is hilarious. the bitchy alternative chick from high school finally uses the hot-chick’s guilt against her. transparent
there is one bet, though, that is a sure thing. just like brande is not preceived to have been intelligent enough to proceed further, neither will annie be deemed a good enough, graceful enough person to win the show. trump himself alluded to this when he asked melissa if annie was a “bad person” in the baord room. he wanted it out there. and he knows that the show is better for the controversy. look at the amorosa effect.
so the irony of annie’s situation is that just as annie used brande, so too is trump using annie. he doesnt let bad people win. he is milking the fact that everyone who watches the show thinks that annie is an angry, manipulative a-hole and that he will command rapt attention until she gets fired.
gl Annie-I know your are the winner.
You go girl!
You rock Annie, just sorry that you got into making the comments about Rivers – you had been so professional to that point. I’ve got to say that I was really happy to see you beat Clint, and I could tell by your reaction that it was a transformational moment. YGG!
Annie,
I think you are great and deserve to win. I’m betting that you do!
Did you say on Ellen you have a poker school? I would love to hear more about that.
Warmly,
Jeanine
Joan is just threatened by your intelligence and abilities. Poor old woman, I feel sorry for her. It is rare for her, however, to lose control so she’s lashing out against you to try to gain back control.
As for the part about suffering fools poorly, they left that out because a lot of people watching would not know what it means. Sure some would know but a lot wouldn’t and it would make that part of the show confusing for them. Anyhow, most people with genius and/or a lot of drive and work ethic don’t suffer fools, it’s hard to put up with stupidity when there’s so much of it out there. Just look at some of your competitors. I’ll bet your worst day hasn’t been as bad as some of their best days. Just think about THAT when you’re having a bad moment. Good luck and you know you deserve and have the ability to win. Trump is long-time friends with Joan but he knows you’re the smartest and the best. He’ll do the right thing and pick you as the winner if you go in there and do your absolute best.

by the way, the lunatic was probably promised final 2 before she even stepped onto the set of this program.
Go Annie!!! I think you played fairly and shrewdly. This was all business, and business was raising money for charity. It seems Joan Rivers and her daughter have never figured that out. Those women are disgusting and reprehensible. While I never liked either of them, now I am just utterly disgusted and appalled. I wouldn’t watch them now if their lives depended on it.
First off congratulations on making the final two. It is a tremendous accomplishment to not only withstand but shine in the scrutiny of such a great businessman like Donald Trump for such an extended period of time. Kudos.
I would also like to mention that your victory on last night’s show really hit me in a way I didn’t expect. In a situation where the odds were against you, and you faced the onslaught from your other final two competitor that has been so well documented we need not rehash it any further, you not only stood strong, but came out victorious. So much can be said for that kind of perseverance. You have such great courage and strength.
What really struck true for me was Piers’ comments after the interview. Specifically, that no matter what is said or done, it had no effect on your character, your emotion, or your path. It wasn’t said in any really special way, but the simplicity of his impression of your really struck some sort of chord with me. It really connected me with my purpose, but more importantly, where I need to go as a person to achieve it.
Annie, you really are a tremendous role model and inspiration to many. I wish you nothing but the best success in all your endeavours, and good luck in the finale.
Also, being a poker player aspiring for great success, I do look forward to being able to one day compete at your level.
Kind Regards
Jeff

Thanks for the explanation I remember reading Joan changed her name but didn’t know her former name. It all makes perfect sense to me duh! LOL!!!!
Cluck, cluck splash I thought the same thing gimme a break there was no SUBSTANCE to that one thank god Clint didn’t listen!
I believe when Ellen interviewed Joan and melissa
Brande and Annie were in the background as posters.
Annie, you are smart but you are not kind.
you are smart but you are not kind; you are ruthless and believe in winning at all costs.

I just know that you are going to win!!!! and I can’t wait to see you wipe that smirk off Joans face..
Annie is the best! She’s an expert game player and is a pro on not taking a game personally. I think Joan is a great talent, obviously but, the Hitler comment, even for a comedienne, went too far! It’s like when people on Survivor get angry because they got voted off, it’s the way the game goes. Not too mention, it’s a business game and you got to be cut-throat to win, look at Pearce! Keep it up Annie, I hope you break the fund raising record (which I think set)!!!
Keith from Boston!
Annie you are certainly an inspiration; your attitude and the way you have been on the show have inspired me so much that in the past two days I have taken decisions which have changed my life. Thanks Annie for changing my life; now I own a small startup, about which I know that despite being in a poor situation now it will certainly bounce back in the best possible way.
I really never thought Celebrity Apprentice would inspire me by any means (though earlier seasons of Apprentice did teach me a lot), you are turning out to be one of the best apprentice participants on this show ever.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEONE HELP ME GET THIS JINGLE OUT OF MY HEAD! I’m trying to get some work done, fer cryin’ out loud!!
annie, you are strategic, you can read people, you are cool under pressure and can raise money like no other… even for OTHER people’s charities… you, my dear are the winner!
i am SOOOO looking forward to the finale! i even got my guy (a neurosurgeon) hooked on this show and he is rooting for you all the way. he’s even interested in learning how to play poker!
because of you (and maybe Ivanka… she’s also sagacious), Donald has new, highly intelligent fans tuning into his show…
[...] those who claim that Annie is somehow oblivious to how her confidence comes off to people… From her most recent blog entry: It’s funny when it is a man who acts like Annie and who is confident in who they are, this man [...]
I knew Joan would come back. I had no doubts about that.
Someone should have said that Joan shouldn’t advance because she is a quitter and The Donald hates quitters. =D
I am really looking forward to the final. I hope you kick some serious Rivers’ Ass. Beating both of them on the final task would sooo be over the top.
I saw that you get Dennis Rodman and Tom Greene along with Brande. I think if anyone can lead Dennis, it’s you, but it was still fracked up for the producers to bring him back and put him on your team for the final task. It’s like they were trying to set you up to fail.
first, congratulations you earned it. I’m a 41yr old business man and have played poker for about 20yrs and in the business world i wish i could find people with the drive, intelligence and initiative you have shown on this show. In the poker world not so much. lol second, what a frickin tard this IVAN character is. seriously dude did you watch the same show as everyone else
Answer this someone: Trump fired this one lady and then gets on this soap-box about DUI’s, bah, bah bah. THat’s OK, but when Joan makes some of the most awful statements about Annie, remarks by the way that would get you sued and fired any where in the USA, WHY didn’t Trump do the right thing and tell Joan to apologize or be fired?
Annie, you are an inspiration. At first I saw you as too pushy, yet as the show gets on I realize that you deserve all the praise you give yourself and more. You’re high fiving yourself for true accomplishments and as a fan, I’d like to high five you also.
I love that you actually have a tactical mind and don’t let your emotions overrun your judgement, (which apparently makes you a demon to some people). Watching this show and then checking out forums regarding it had me shocked at just how many women out there are still 100% emotionally driven and form opinions based on initial thoughtless emotions rather than fair reason and inner debate.
Obviously you’re smart, but more importantly to me, you seem very genuinely thoughtful, able to see a situation from several points of view and make your choices from there. You make poker skills look extremely useful for many different facets of life, it’s intriguing to watch. Most of all, it’s good to see a strong woman who doesn’t take her human ability to reason for granted.

Annie did not refer to Clint as a “negative” or “bad person” in the show or for his team..
She did compliment him several times as in this example:
“The really great side of Clint really shone through that night and I hope everyone can see that,”
**The only time she used the word “negative” is when she was referring to Trump Jr who was reading the “positives and negatives” that the company saw in each teams projects.
Annie, you are a bitch with a capital C, and you seem to be proud of it. Joan has your number, and so do millions of people watching this show. It’s funny how every comment on this page is all about “Saint Annie” and how wonderful you are. You’re not. You play cards for a living. You’re dealt a hand, strictly on luck, and then you either successfully lie or you don’t. Real important. Sure makes the world a better place, doesn’t it? You’ll never be as successful as Joan Rivers, at anything. I hope you get trounced in the finale, because that’s what you deserve. However, given that you are a self-deluded egomaniac just like Trump, that may be your “in.”

You’re wc for explanation. ‘cluck cluck splash’ back etcha!
I did review the 2 clips first of joan/m and then of annie on Ellen
On the Joan/m interview, they showed a brief (and smaller) pic of annie in the background and not one of her best photos either
.. and it was brief- they had the landscape bkground then briefly a quick glimpse of annie, then back to landscape.
when i watched the annie interview, i saw landscape for a moment then a lonnnng period of gigantic pics of PHOTOSHOPPED pics of the Rivers-rats in the back ground with ellen’s cams intentionally backed up so you could see these huge pics in the bkground for a long period..
it wasn’t an even playing field imo, and pisses me off royally.. i’m a so-so fan of ellens’ used to like her a lot but felt she was too silent these last 8 yrs on various issues.. plus i never watch her show (not my cup of tea).. just that when i saw her mention that j/m would be on the show, imo, she simply showed a lot of favortism towards them, and then only had annie on because annie’s publicist requested that annie have the opportunity to respond..
A few things I don’t understand:
1. Did Joan really quit or was the show really just finished taping for the evening? I mean, aren’t they allowed to go outside?3.
2. How many jingles has Clint Black created? I thought he was a country singer.
SHUT UPVIC YOU JEALOUSPRICK!
CONGRATULATIONS ANNIE….TO MAKE IT THIS FAR WITH THE WICKED WITCH OF THE EAST CHASING YOU IS JUST AMAZING!!! YOU MAKE ME PROUD THAT I TOO AM A POKER PLAYER…..
Predictably, I forgot your jingle about thirty seconds after hearing it 4 times.
Great job, Annie. Where and when will the final task take place? I would like to attend and make a big donation to help you out. I can jump on an airplane any time.
Actually if you pay attention you’ll notice that Annie has this need to be on every show Melissa and Joan are on now to give her side of this stupid feud. If she was really all that great a game player and mind reader she claims she is, Annie would let Melissa and Joan just complain and let it pass. The fact that she needs to keep drudging this up everywhere she goes whos she is insecure and needs to know she has some form of “backup”.
Anyone else see Annie’s pout when Donald asked her about how not many on the show like her? Her thin little lying lips got even thinner and she scowled like a champ. She’s just a spoiled bully.
Mom and Daughter Rivers chicks are psychotic. Wow.
Geeze…
Let those who be without sin cast the first stone. If we look far enough into ANYONE’S personality we can find negative things to bring out.
Annie is doing a splendid job! If it turns out she’s the best game player playing this game then that’s the ticket. If not, then life goes on.
Annie,
Watching you has been a roller coaster. I love you & your strategy, but the bits of insecurity that drop out of your aggressive self-promotion hurt. I know that the editing probably adds an unfair bias, but you should try to put a filter on the “me” statements–they’re probably the ONLY detriment of your (self-admitted) loose mouth as everything else it emits is intelligent, insightful, and surprisingly composed. Obviously, mainstream likability isn’t required for financial success, but it really makes your life easier.
I’m nobody in a position to be giving you this advice, but I can’t help it. I really like you & think you could be infectious with a tiny tweak.
Generally speaking there are 3 criteria to win the final episode and be the Celebrity Apprentice.
1) Creating a successful event
2) Raising the most funds for the charity
3) Overall achievement in the Apprentice race
In this season there is one more:
4) Character
Criteria #1 Creating a Successful event
We’ve seen that:
- Annie doesn’t fold under pressure
- that she can be creative when necessary
- that she can manage
- that she can organize an event
- that she can delegate tasks
- she motivates people
- while overseeing the playing field.
That makes her a leader with enough skills to win this criteria.
On the other hand, Melissa is a producer in her own rights and has many years of experience and both Rivers have many connections in this field.
But we have seen Annie played the odds and beat a famous Grammy winner in his own turf.
It’s hard to predict who will win this one, but I’m rooting for Annie.
Criteria #2 Raising the most funds for the charity
We’ve seen that:
- Annie has access to the pool of wealthy people
- being one of the best or maybe the best poker player in the world, she knows all the major players and gamblers of the world, which in turns means she knows who to call for serious money.
- Poker players support each other in time of need and they will turn up for her, when called upon.
- she has a flair with people and she knows how to utilize her female skills, which is a total advantage in her case.
My bet is that she will win this one by a long stretch.
Criteria #3 Overall achievement in the Apprentice race
- Annie has raised the most money during this season
- She has not been called to the boardroom in all the failed tasks
- She has won all the tasks, when she was PM.
- She overcame herself when she was up to an impossible battle
Joan Rivers or Annie Duke?
Well, Annie Duke again!
Criteria #4 Character
The 4th criteria is the most important one.
Though you could argue that both Annie and Joan could have shown a higher norm in character, everyone must admit that Joan went over the top with her Hitler comparison and worse.
Joan has been given plenty of time and moments to rectify her words, but chose to thicken it more during the episodes and in interviews. That alone makes her a big loser on this criteria. You can argue that in the heat of the moment bad words, names and curses are used. It takes character for every man or woman to admit that it was wrong in doing just that and apologizes for that is wrong. Just this fact will separate the winners from the losers.
Joan chose not to do that and hat makes her a big and poor loser.
Due to criteria #4, Donald Trump cannot name Joan Rivers as the Celebrity Apprentice, because of her obscene name calling and behavior, thus character. A winner that can go on insulting other people Hitler and worse? What example and effect would that have on today’s and future society? What would that make Donald Trump by rewarding an over the top insulting Joan Rivers with the Celebrity Apprentice while carrying his name on the show.
It will damage the integrity and brand of Donald Trump, when he does name Joan Rivers the Celebrity Apprentice.
That will not happen.
So in my opinion, the winner was already called, when the 2 opponents were named Joan Rivers vs Annie Duke.
The winner and the Celebrity Apprentice 2009 is:
ANNIE DUKE
There is only one BUT.
Annie has the best cards to win this game, BUT as we all know it takes just a single bad beat to lose all your chips. This bad beat could be named Donald Trump. Truly up to his name, he holds the Trump card.
Who wins?
As with every hold ‘em game, it’s up to the RIVERS card.
Joan’s always saying that you’re a manipulator ~ that’s a little like the pot calling the china teacup black!
Annie, I think you deserve to win, but sadly I won’t be watching. I’m done with Donald Trump and his disgusting sexism. He drools all over the pretty girls and suggests the only reason Sandra Bullock married Jesse is cause he’s “good in bed.” What a pig!
He fires people for being a “quitter,” but rewards Joan for her horrible behavior. He’s either afraid of her or made a deal with her before she came on the show that she would be in the final two. No way does she deserve to be there.
You most certainly will be the winner on Sunday night or DT will become even more of a joke than he is already. Sorry I can’t watch.
Joan Rivers is a pig. Now everyone has seen the real Joan. I will never want to look at her or hear anything ever again that she might have to say. If she comes on a show I will change the channel. She disgusts me. Her daughter comes in second but she’s learning well.
I have lot all respect for Donald Trump. How can he pick Joan and support her behavior?
This is the first time that I’ve ever watched Apprentice because of Joan being in it…knowing full well her love for drama. Otherwise I personally think Trump is an asshole and that he loves to create drama to bring in the viewers. I pretty much guessed that Joan would win from the start and that Annie was kept around because out of all the contestants, she fell hook, line, and sinker for Donald’s plan of creating the type of drama he was looking for. Annie was baited and took the bait each show, making her look bad overall, in spite of what she thinks. I do believe that Annie is a very smart lady, but there’s a side to her personality that is a total turn off…too bad. And I think that Piers guy is an effin’ Donald freak!
Annie you have proven to be a winner throughout this adventure. You are clear and concise and therefore are(A WOMAN, MOTHER) someone to be feared. If you had a male appendage you would be revered as awesome.
Unfortunately, strong, intelligent, powerful women are Bi#$@&s. All the surgery has gone to (HagBONE Barbies) her head obviously.
Creepy people validating other creepy people should not exist in the national media.
The creep in charge of the adventure waffles on his moral code depending on a persons(womans) looks and boobs. ANNIE DUKE WON HANDS DOWN.
