+Final Episode of Celebrity Apprentice: Trump slowrolls me
I am currently going through the 1500 pending comments on my site . I can’t believe the support from so many people. It is really amazing and I couldn’t have imagined that all these people would feel compelled to write in. Please be patient while I get through all the comments. In the meantime, I am asking those who feel I should have won to please visit the Refugees International site. Explore the site, educate yourself about the charity and, if you can afford it and you really think I was robbed, please donate because I am not the one harmed, the charity is.
As for the finale of the Celebrity Apprentice, I will be blogging more thoroughly on it later in the week as I process last night. In the meantime, I want to thank Mr. Trump for the way he hired Joan Rivers. In the previous 7 seasons of The Apprentice he has never done anything but pointed to the winner and said “You’re Hired.” Last night, instead, he looked at me and, after asking if I knew what he was going to say, and said, “Annie, You’re Fired.” Nice slowroll. Good game, sir.
xoxo, u’re THE retard;)
Love the way you played the game. But more importantly, I admire the way you remained poised in the face of name calling and personal attacks. What a great lesson for your children. Think you should have won. Way to go Annie!
you rocked the socks off of the river’s. it’s too bad joan’s loudmouthness won over the donald.
I just watched the Celebrity Apprentice Finale (I had it recorded) and was outraged. I can’t believe the abuse they allowed Joan to dole out all season. You remained calm and cool even with all of the personal attacks. You are definitely the better business woman – it’s too bad the show was only looking for star quality. I only wished they had contacted the designer so they could verify that the reason he quit was because of Joan. I’m confused…with all of the footage, couldn’t Donald have figured that out on his own…oh I forgot he had decided from the beginning he was going to hire Joan – what a joke!It was obvious in the boardrooms when he let her speak over you all of the time. So sorry you had to take all of that abuse. You are the winner in my book!
I was so overjoyed when the Donald looked at you and said Annie, you’re fired. I laughed and laughed–you got so what you deserved. You were thinking you won and started raising your hands like OMG I won but instead you had to quickly withdraw your hands. That was so satisfying..perfect ending.
I never post on this kind of stuff but I was screaming at the tv last night when Joan was claiming you were lying about the event planner being fired. I was so pissed off at her and her spoiled as hell daughter. Not only did she cause the event planner to quit but she gave herself an unfair advantage as she knew way before you did that the event planner was gone. I used to like Joan rivers she did some funny stuff on Howard Stern but it was INSANELY obvious that you were way better then her and should have been hired. I will never watch that show again.
I am not into poker, and did not know of Annie Duke before the “Celebrity Apprentice” show. She is a class act. She lost because Donald Trump decided to ignore the proof that Annie was collateral damage because of Joan’s abuse of others. In spite of this problem she perservered and was the winner as far as I and my family is concerned. She demonstrated how it is possible to be demanding and tough while being poised and fair. Succeeding in business and life does not mean being a bully.
Refugees international and Annie both won as far as good public exposure and strength of conviction. You are a role model.
Annie:
It is a true shame what a hypocrite that Donald Trump turned out to be. And what a chauvinist too! He allowed time after time, after time Joan Rivers and per little puppet doll Melissa to insult you along with others on the show…but mostly you. The names and references that were used were truly obsene and offensive to all women and he (especially as a husband and father) should be so ashamed. But then when Jesse used the word stupid towards Dennis Rodman, he just him up quick. He asked that chauvinistic question of Brande about her looks. How would he have felt if anyone had asked his beutiful, blonde daughter a questions like that or if she had been called some of the names Joan called her fellow competitors.
Also he fired Ms. Kardashian for her previous DUI in such an insulting and demeaning manner, while at the end gushing all over Dennis Rodman. What’s up with that?
It was so apparent to anyone with a brain that this was year’s CA was a fix! Along with many others, I will no longer watch Celebrity Apprentice or anything else Trump is assocaited with – not to mention Joan Rivers….I will not go to a show, or watch her on TV or purchase from QVC as long as she is assocated with that network.
And I hope that all of the casinos respond to her disrepect and defamation of all poker players.
Donald Trump – Loser! Joan Rivers – Loser! Melissa Rivers – WIMP Loser!
ANNIE DUKE – WINNER!
Well, Mr. Trump not only slow rolls you he has the audacity to give the money raised by the show prime real estate on his website – and sticks a big Joan Rivers beside it. He spends most of the finale talking abut the money raised for charity – so does Piers and Trace. Whatever happened to the “other criteria”. You totally crushed Rivers in the category that obviously mattered most. The outcome looked pretty damned predetermined to me.
Annie,
Your were the clearly the class act and winner of Apprentice. Joan was just a nasty person (as was her daughter) and Donald made the wrong decision, and he should have the gumption to admit it to you someday (but he probably won’t). Like many others that commented, my days of watching the show are over. Best of luck to you in poker and everything – hope to see you in Vegas some day!
Nice work. You are the REAL celebrity apprentice, and Joan Rivers is nuts! My respect for Donald Trump has depleted about a hundred-fold. It was hard for me to watch such an injustice take place for the sake of drama. You hit the nail on the head when you pointed out that Joan’s belligerent, psychotic behavior would not be tolerated in any other professional setting. I would also like to comment on Tom Green’s behavior. That guy is a child. Grow up and do your job. Annie, I was rooting for you all the way, and was thoroughly disappointed – wait no, angry is a better description – when you didn’t win. You played the game perfectly, but in the end, you just got screwed.
My wife and I just stared at each other and said, are these people watching something diffrent than us? Joan rivers showed her true colors during this. If you don’t want the truth to be heard, just talk over the person as rude and loud as possible. It seemed to work for the weak minded people. I’m sorry you had to be around such a horrible person. Hitler! I think the plastic surgery has streached out her brain. Winner, Annie!
Annie, You’re amazing! Come on ‘down under’ to Australia & we’ll show you how much we think you really are fantastic!!!!!!!! I don’t hate Joan, or Donald (but I did think Melissa was weird!)- and I WILL continue to watch The Apprentice….. but I felt really sad that you were not the one to be HIRED. Good luck (though I’m sure you don’t need it!)
I’m not a supporter of gambling but I am a supporter of decency and class. Annie Duke, you have brought class into gambling. You were very unfairly treated by The Duke bc you actually delivered on what the show required – money for charity, making you the obvious winner. That was just a show you lost but your contribution to charity will make lasting impressions in the lives of those served…alot longer than the Botox in Mz Rivers or the fake jewellery she sports. She puts down ppl to get 5mins of fame while you use your 5mins to give back. Kudos and hold your head up high, darling!
Dear Annie, its just gone 9pm in London my wife two daughters and I have just finished watching the final of the apprentice.I initially felt sick at Trumps decision(as you we’re hands down the better person/player)but then I realised somtimes ‘you need to lose to win’.I believe as a result of their actions(career wise) Joan rivers and her spoilt brat killed themselves. You came across as a beautiful, sincere, compassionate genuine person. If you ever visit the UK look me up. Tobias
Annie – Trump isn’t much different than Joan. They pride themselves on being rich, ignorant and obnoxious. Have you forgotten Trumps behaviour over Rosie O’Donnell? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lUvjuQL5Tg
Your donation on the Ellen show compared to Joan’s and Melissa’s put together is evidence of how great your ‘poker player’ network is. Hands up to Phil Gordons support. Boycott Trump casinos!
It’s hardly different from how Joan herself reacts to you. Like Phil Gordon said on your interview with him, Joan’s win was obviously concocted from the beginning. Joan just couldn’t handle the fact that not only are you intelligent and knowleged but you have a better network of people than she has – and yet you’re (just) a poker player
The day after watching the Celebrity Apprentice Finale, we read the following in our family devotions: “If anyone does not keep a reign on his tongue, his religion is worthless” (James 1) My twelve year old immediately piped up, “That’s Joan Rivers!” “God’s Love” is hardly evident with all of that bile coming out of River’s mouth. Congratulations on playing a reality show with brains, spunk and self-control. Our family considers you to be the true winner (and Brandi, not Joan, deserved to be your opponent). Here’s wishing you all the best, from one mom of four to another.
Annie, That finale was a total joke!!!!
You obviously deserved to win but Trump =(moron) was in bed with Joan and QVC because the next day she was selling her jewelry on QVC (LOL) and “I’m a winner” pin the next day. Trump and QVC obviously had this already prearranged. JUST A COMPLETE JOKE
GOOD JOB ANNIE. JOAN, DONALD AND HER JEWELRY ARE A COMPLETE DISGRACE
After the results of this season on The Apprentice I may not watch in the future. Joan Rivers behavior was so disgusting and Annie’s so flawless, in terms of delivering and executing, Trump only embarrassed himself in hiring Rivers. Rivers and her daughter epitomize her ilk, arrogant, nasty and self-righteous. Annie, you were the winner hands down on this year’s Apprentice regardless of what Trump uttered. Trump holds himself out as though he is royalty when, in fact, he is a guy with an overstuffed ego always on the verge of insolvency.
Who cares what a blow hard who has driven casinos into bankruptcy and been flat broke twice thinks?
Annie, you rocked everyone and most importantly raised a ton of dough for a great cause. You are crazy smart, a great player, an absolutely beautiful woman and above all a good person.
Keep on rocking and hope to see you at the tables in AC soon (at a real room, not those Trump abominations)
oh, and by the way, it’s real easy to say how all these people support you when you are obviously only putting up comments that kiss your ass to make you look like a saint. for everyone that gives a compliment there has to be like 20 people who thinks your a two bit skank.
kisses,
jack
I totally agree Trump slowrolled you there..I really thought you deserved to win..You played the game real well.
Support from Asia…
Keep it real,
An amateur poker player
I would like to say Joan Rivers was the best at this game. Annie Duke is full of crap. You think playing Poker is a real sport? What don’t you find something else “real” in life to do. This is the Apprentice and you just sit there and do nothing. You just don’t have the “Business” sense. Basically, you are as dumb as Brande Roderick. Annie: Please don’t appear on TV again as I think you are full of trash
My husband and I just watched the finale (had it taped) and are now totally disgusted by the outcome. Yes, Joan was successful at some things, which is impressive at her age, but she and Melissa repeatedly were so unprofessional and so unfairly mean to you that we have zero respect for both of them. What true losers! On the other hand, Annie, we have nothing but respect for you and we believe you are the only true winner! We had never heard of you before this show but we think again and again you worked harder than the others, had great ideas and creativity, raised incredible amounts of money for charity, and had such good relationships with friends that they always delivered. How refreshing that you didn’t behave in some namby-pamby, low key way but instead just worked in such a no-nonsense way. What a strong, gifted person you are. Your children should be so proud to have such a good role model for a mother, and your business partners should appreciate what a talented individual you are. We’re from Missouri, nicknamed the Sho-Me state, so it’s appropriate to say Annie Duke “showed me” how to be the fiercest, professional, best competitor possible. We also do not understand how Donald Trump allowed Joan Rivers to say such despicable things about poker players in general and you especially because the remarks were so untrue, and even more unbelievably ridiculous considering Trump’s Atlantic City connections. Thanks for the inspiration provided by your many, many accomplishments during the Celebrity Apprentice. We don’t care what Donald Trump said, you’ll always be the winner in our household.
Ok… Look. I’m blunt by nature and I truly am not trying to be rude or hurtful; but you are an ass, plain and simple. I realize the show is edited in such a way that it adds to the drama and may cause you to be reflected in a more negative light than you should have been; however, even with that being said, you were still an ass. You are, by far, one of the most narcissistic people I have ever seen. You are very manipulative, but that is the least of the negative things you have going against you. You and Joan both acted like children from time to time, but your personality, at least the one portrayed on national television is horribly embarassing. You constantly took credit for things you had very little input on, if any at all! That is something that very young, attention-starved children do for recognition; so for the life of me, I have no idea why you did what you did. I obviously don’t know you and I pride myself on being pretty open and understanding to giving all people a chance when getting to know them; but I can honestly say that my life is all the better for not having someone with your values in my life. Those that do know you and consider you a friend/acquaintance, should take care because in my experience, you can never be too careful with a snake in the grass. Maybe you could try to be a little more humble and a lot less two-faced. As far as the outcome of Celebrity Apprentice, I don’t believe you were robbed as you claimed, I just think karma finally caught up with you. I do still hope however that your charity will excel in spite of you as their spokesperson. Again, sorry for the bluntness of my comments, I just don’t know any other way to be. I am also sorry if my words were hurtful to you since I truly don’t intend to be hurtful to you, I just think that everyone can benefit from time to time from a nice healthy dose of honesty and reality. Lord knows I’m not perfect nor do I claim to be, I just hope you realize that you aren’t either. Thank you for your time and I hope this changes you some for the better.

I know I’ll get flamed for this, but am I the only one who can think of like 50 more worthy charities than Refugees International? Wouldn’t promoting capitalism and democracy be the best thing that would help these people?
Annie,
You absolutely “trumped” the Apprentice. Not only did Joan & Melissa have an unfair advantage on two scores- 1) they were native New Yorkers so knew their way around; but 2)they were an unspoken team even when they were competing against each other. In poker parlance, the cards were absolutely stacked against any other participant.
What was searingly clear was that Melissa, hence Joan; are poor sports– this was displayed when Melissa was rightfully “fired”- and the two Rivers true colors came out- e.g. name calling etc. They both should have been fired with that behavior. Not having an ability to gracefully lose, is a huge burden for any serious buisness.
Lastly, how dare Joan Rivers who is now selling cheap jewelry on TV, exploiting those who can least afford it– snear dismissively at the professional Poker playing?
You won this one, hands down!
Jennifer
Annie, you are the best. All Chinese Support you.
Annie the last episode of the celebrity apprentice aired in Australia last night and without a doubt you should have one.
You played the game well but did it with poise and class. Unlike that loudmouthed head case Joan Rivers and her bratty worthless daughter Melissa Rivers.
It was so painful to watch such a disgusting human being walk away with the title that should have been yours!
After seeing that kind of revolting behavoir I intend to make it my business to never watch any of Joans programs, her daughters programs and will have nothing to do with any organisation they are affiliated with.
On the otherhand good job raising so much money and awareness for your charity (Refugees International) and may you succeed in any projects you apply your single minded determination to.
You’re a true role model.
Just watched the final in Australia, Annie. I’ve known your dad for a number of years (through the club that starts with M, ha ha) and have always asked him about how you and Howard are doing, since he told me you were both playing poker yonks ago – and look at you!
You conducted yourself so well on the Apprentice, I hope that both you and your father are proud. Those who watched could see the truth of what happened – and I also happen to know David, the event planner who withdrew his company, and he’s someone I respect as well. I know it feels unfair sometimes when you try to rise above and the other bunny wins anyway. BUT, ou still have your self respect in knowing that you conducted yourself with grace.
Good for you for all your success, Annie. I hope my daughter grows up to be a terrific woman like you.
We too have just watched the final episode here in Adelaide, Australia. I was so angry watching several of the episodes with the behaviour of Joan Rivers. For a 75 year old woman, she did an excellent job of behaving like a child. One of your last comments to Donald Trump was that in any other board room, her and Melissa’s behaviour would not have been tolerated. This is what I had been screaming at the TV for at least 4 episodes! No way would any employee get away with making personal comments such as Joan Rivers did, in any organisation. It was, in my view, clear favouratism. If the comments had come from you, towards Joan, he would have fired you straight away. It was obvious Donald was not going to himself say anything or let anyone else say anything negative to or about Joan. I believe he also favoured Dennis Rodman. He pussy footed round both of them whereas did not seem to have the same respect for the likes of you and Jesse. I couldn’t believe he even said that he could not work out what Sandra Bullock saw in Jesse. Excuse me??
You consistently carried yourself with respect and dignity and at least you are able to walk away and know that you have not lowered yourself to Joan’s level. Donald and Ivanka both made remarks on Joan being a great role model. I would like to know to whom? Some kids in the play ground?
I’m sure you’re well and truly over reading but thank you so much for letting me get this off my chest!
Just watched the finale tonite in Australia. Congrats, you won hands down, Annie. I liked your style.
God only knows what the Donald was on about. But it was all good fun.
Tell me, are those Rivers girls that bad, or was it all an act?
We only just saw the finale in Australia. You were fantastic. That was low the way he fired you. The fact that Joan was the reason you lost your decorator, who you were obviously working well with, was met with Joan’s dishonest dramatics. Whenever you caught her & Melissa out, they went crazy ladies. Donald seemed to indulge them. His kids clearly saw you as the winner. I also thought he was unfair on Jesse when he was trying to explain to Dennis that he cared about him.
I didn’t know you or joan before i watched Apprentice S8.
You played the best in the game. And in many Chinese forum, the comments are also mostly supporting you.
Joan just deserved some last honor because she didn’t have many days left….And Apprentice is just a show~ The result is usually not fair…
Annie–I have been watching CA from the get go and will never watch it agine because of what happend to you–You Rock in every way–I have never seen such a bullshit blind side like they did to you makes me sick–Annie Duke is the best—-
Donald Trump lost all creditability, disgraced himself and the CA show by selecting Joan Rivers to be the CA last season. It was beyond obvious that you were the deserving winner.Anyone who disagrees needs to have thier head examined.

What a shame, you won that fair and square… My respect for Donald Trump has really come down. It was a fix, there is no other explanation. Joan Rivers and her daughter lied and acted appallingly the latter half of the season. You should be so proud of the way you kept your cool and dignity while others lost thiers.
Donald Trump is dead to me – ever since he fired you. You were so obviously the superior candidate, and it was so obviously fixed for Joan Rivers to win. I never post on these things, but this one just made me so angry. Joan threatened to quit, and he would never have tolerated that in any other player. She also hurled a stream of undeserved abuse at you at every turn, and he would have put a stop to that in any other player. The thing I thought made it most obvious was that Piers and Ivanka were CLEARLY coached to say that Joan had won the final task. I’m certain that both of them — if allowed to speak candidly — would have said you won the final task by sheer virtue of the fact that you raised the most money. (Piers even was made to say that she had more celebrities at her event, when all she had were impersonators!!) I won’t watch the show any more. If it’s rigged, what’s the point in watching?
AND I think Trump is a douche for slow rolling you at the end.
I can’t believe that I’m ranting about this a year later, but I also can’t stop. Can I just say, YOU NEVER DID ANYTHING TO JOAN OR MELISSA!! You just played the game and advocated for yourself in the boardroom like every other player! You didn’t stab Melissa in the back — it’s as though Joan thought that you somehow promised her that you would throw yourself on your own sword to protect Melissa. It was just absurd. You didn’t do a damned thing to her, and she seemed to feel justified in vilifying you. And Trump was obviously laying the groundwork for her rigged win at the end from early on. After her abusive rants, he would find some lame excuse to say, “Joan’s got heart,” as though that made up for her unprofessional behavior and abusive conduct. Here’s another example. During the auction, Joan’s team inexplicably put up Clint to be the auctioneer, and it was a catastrophe. Ivanka and Piers rightly went after them for that mistake. But you can watch Trump pull them back and praise Joan for doing a great job (after letting the longest most painfully awkward silence ruin most of their auction). He would have crucified any other team for that mistake.
