+My interview with The TV Guide Channel
On Monday I went in and did an interview with the TV Guide Channel. Here it is since I am assuming most people didn’t catch it. Funnily enough, that channel happens to be where Joan and Melissa last did their Red Carpet stuff before they got fired. Needless to say, the folks over there are not that fond of them lol.
I hope next season’s tittle will be more accurate and be called “Donald’s Closest Friend Wins”. Annie was obviously the most talented on the show and was robbed. Annie was a piller of grace compared to that space alien look-a-like lier who can only dish out insults but too blabber-mouthed to even acknowledge how wrong she was, or that her daughter would be nothing without her (except maybe a prettier woman).
Good luck Annie, you have made thousands of new fans, (including myself). You are a way better person than joan, melisa, and donald combined.
annie duke is a bitch joan deserved the win…wtg joan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Annie, you were totally robbed! There is NO WAY Joan should have won that game. All she did was complain, cry, cause trouble and belittle others. Juse because she is “75″ and has such stamina, big deal. If she didn’t have the stamina she shouldn’t have gone on the show. I would never let anyone work for me that treated others like she did. Donald would ask you a question and during your answer, Joan would always butt in and never let you complete a sentence. Joan was absent for how many tasks? How many players did she bad mouth? She walked out on the show, lost how many tasks and raised how little money? You were a better choice by far. I wonder if the decorator was paid to “quit” so the show could see what you two would do? I think Donald chose Joan to win before the season even started!
Annie:
I was with you from day one. I agree with what others say. I have no use for Trump or the Rivers duo. I think the man was totally without the stuff needed to make a good choice. All I could see was how he pampered Joan from day one. You had real class all through with the way you tried over and over to patch things up with Joan and with the way you played the game. Excellent stuff from a lady of pure class. You rock, babe. You rock!!!
I no longer respect Donald Trump. You were a hard-working, classy guest and he let someone insult you and never tried to stop her. She tried to sabotage Clint Black’s 1st leadership because he was up against Melissa. She should have been fired for her comments to Clint that week and for her personal attacks on you & Clint. Joan Rivers NEVER had any class and neither does her daughter. Any man watching that show would be CRAZY to get involved with her. Joan & Melissa made us Jewish women cringe. They are every negative stereotype imaginable. You should have won – you raised more money & I’d rather work with someone you any day. Future celebrities – beware – don’t hit your friends up for too much money – the most recognizable name will win (unjustly)
I just finished watching the final episode of Celebrity Apprentice. I thought you were going to win! It was a great season, I really enjoyed it all. I’m glad I got to know who you are and about your charity.
Annie, it is difficult to appreciate a strong woman such as yourself. I enjoyed watching you play the game and people. You won hands down. I was sooo upset with the ending last night and I thought Joan till the end showed how trashy she was.
Annie,
You are the true champion. It is a travesty that Trump was blinded by Joan’s beauty (hah!).
The vulgarity that Melissa and Joan displayed was shocking and certainly not business-like.
I wish you great success in all your future endevours.
Annie, I watched the entire season and you definitely got jobbed on the finale. I never understood why Joan and Melissa made everything so personal. I would be angry at someone who didn’t put any effort in-such as Dennis-but not someone who worked hard each and every week. I knew you were doomed as soon as I heard that fund-raising would only count as 20% of the criteria in the finale. Your Chicken of the Sea task was excellent. I also found it curious how someone who frequently performs in Las Vegas would have such disdain for a poker player, when poker is now the dominant game out there. I’ve seen her act before out there, and she was very entertaining. Filthy, but funny. I also found it curious how Kodak found taking pictures with a bunch of drag queens preferable to your setup. Oh well, you raised more money for your charity in finishing runner up than Joan did winning. Congratulations.
Annie – I liked you in the beginning; but in the end you were just as bad as Joan. You should of kept your comments to yourself about Joan & Melissa. If you do not have any nice to say about a person, then you should say NOTHING. May you live to be 75 years old like Joan. She does not get a pass; but she did win. Live Free and Learn
I knew of you somewhat before this season with your poke life and fame. After watching you, my wife and I loved your style of play and how you had everyone “eating out of your hand”. Very proud of you and the job you did on the show. I would say you know that this was for ratings and you won where it counts in life. Funny how Joan made this personal in a game…WOW she may be over 70 years old but she did not show it like you did. Great job!
I think the reason you didn’t win is because you were too focused on two words…”I” and “we”. Had you been just a little less self-focused and self-absorbed you would have had it. If you were as generous with the accomplishments of others rather on yourself I doubt your ethics would have been called into questions. And your ethics were what cost you.
i just watched the season finale of celebrity apprentice and i just don’t get it. Joan quits, gets to come back, i thought trump doesn’t allow that. why didn’t he call joan down on the fact that the designer did quit because of joan. trump i have lost all respect for u and will not watch another season. i thougnt u said it was all about raising money. that is what u said last year. and joan u are a has been and melissa u are a never was. good luck annie, in my heart u are the winner.
Annie,
I sought out this website just to comment on the show last night. What a set-up! I am not a fan of you or Joan, so I was really unbiased watching the show. I was not pulling for either of you, but you definitely won. How could they saw that all parts of the criteria were equal? If Trump was a judge at a middle school science fair, he would probably look past the kid who discovered a cure for cancer and give first place to the student who had the prettiest poster and fewest spelling mistakes. What a numbskull–you delivered substance, your opponent delivered fluff.
I truly believe that Joan won because of her commitment to her charity. When each of you spoke about your charities, Joan clearly had a personal connection. That connection was not evident with in your presentation. You spoke more about yourself that your charity. It seemed as if you picked a charity out of a hat.
Also, your donations were intended to help ou win, not to help a charity.
You played the game great, but Donald just couldn’t pick someone who’s ego overshadowed all the good the $ raised would do.
Joan Rivers team violated the rules on task one. They were told they had to go out on the streets and sell their tickets to the everyday people. One wealthy guy bought all the tickets and Joan’s team gave them away. Donald never mentioned this. As for David Torturro, the event planner. He says Joan was the reason he Quit and pulled his firm. Annie was working fine with her planner. Joan says Annie lied, and Joan raised her money “honorably”…PUH-lease! If nothing else, this show revealed that Donald Trump is not the Hot-Shot businessman that people thought. He supposedly knows all and sees all, but he conspicuously missed Joan’s antics comitted right under his nose. A blind person could have seen through that crap. QVC can have Joan And Melissa AND her crappy jewelry. Joan can take her Hate Speech and peddle it somewhere else.
Annie can take comfort in knowing she has a ton of supporters.
Annie, I know what happened. Remember when Joan looked at Donald “Duck” Trump and said that she and him knew all the same people? You my sweet were SNOBBED!!! Why do you think he didn’t protest her calling you “White Trash”? He, obviously, was thinking of the future and the people he has to deal with and she is apparently in his inner circle. No matter, before that show, I just knew you as a poker player. Now I see that you are a nice, intelligent woman with alot of class. I saw Joan come hug you after she won, but I bet it would have been different if you’d have won. Just be thankful that you don’t have to go through life being pitiful like her sorry ass. Yes, we all make mistakes don’t we Donald Duck!!!
Good job Annie. Everyone could see what happened during that show. Donald Trump should be ashamed of himself for picking a spiteful, vidictive woman that said the show was NOT FOR CHARITY!!!! I was shocked by that statement and no one even said anything about it. what a disgusting pair of whinney two year olds they were. Won’t watch the apprentice again. I think it was a forgone conclusion that Joan would win no matter. I couldn’t care less about Joan and Malissa. You showed the world what a very classy woman is and I have the greatest respect for you.
OMG Ann! They din’t have the bobbleheads for you, they just had them in the studio! And you grabbed it like it’s for you. You are a dummy!! Oh yeah, stealing is your job, I forgot…
And why do you read Joan’s tweets if you dislike her so much? Since last November? I really think you are JEALOUS!
The funniest was when Donald said at the end “Annie” and you were so happy and excited because you thought you won… and then he finished “you’re fired”. Funniest moments of the Apprentice!! Your family must be so embarrased…
ANNIE UNFORTUNATELY I DON’T MAKE THE DECISIONS BUT IN MY BOOKS I WOULD WANT YOU ON MY TEAM ANY DAY JUST NOT AT MY POKER TABLE!!!
I am absolutely stunned!!!! What crap!!! I agree with the last few comments, Joan was a big mouth, as always, and Don let it all happen…he never seemed to shut her up although, he shuts others up like Jesse James when he called Rodman “stupid”. Come’on Don, be a leader. Unfortunately, the show isn’t about a “Real Boardroom” situation b/c Joan would have been let go for all her terrible comments about Annie. It’s one thing to say crap about your opponent but to bring all of her friends into it is disrespectful, snake-like and downright disgusting. She caused the company to quit on the apprentice, (they could have still represented Annie’s team though and that was very unprofessional…bravo to Annie’s people for coming through for her at the last minute!!
Four words Annie!!! YOU WON HANDS DOWN!!
Thanks to the evil powers of Plastic Woman, I mean the Joker, I am a full fledged fan of “ANNIE DUKE”. I hope you took her with a grain of salt, you know how people get when they get old. They’re always bitter about everything, nothing, and something.
PS – Why can’t I win with “Jackson – Five” anymore.
I continued to watch the show after Melissa’s on air comment’s thinking that Donald Trump would address how they were abusive toward’s other team member’s but also to the viewer at home. I am glad you had the class and gut’s to challege Trump. This is not a cable show it is NBC which I assumed has standards. I will never watch the show again because as women we should not ever think it is acceptable to be verbally assulted or be witness to another women being attack. Anne you are the winner around the water cooler.
Annie was totally robbed due to scripted ratings and Trump knows damn well who was the best performer and class act..ANNIE DUKE! Joan is 75 and yesterday’s news- while Annie has put herself and charity out there more now than before. Kudos to Annie and God Bless her for showing true integrity and always remaining calm under pressure. It is no wonder you are a great poker pro and I would have voted for you hands down!
Annie Duke was robbed. She was far superior in her play and much classier. In response to Joan winning 3 out of 5 of the criteria, Annie was robbed of her event designer because of Joan and I felt the selling of the tickets should have gone to Annie because they went on the streets of New York and sold all of them where Joan’s team sold them to one of their contacts and then gave them away. I believe Donald picked Joan to win because she’s old not because she’s the best. She actually quit the game because boo hoo, her daughter got fired and Trump let her come back. Too much emotion. Annie, you are a great player and a great human being.
absolutely the most disgusting finish ive ever seen- the Rivers Hags were the most rude, vile, unprofessional skags ive ever seen. all of donalds construction crews in a million years couldnt rebuild all the bridges those 2 burn down-he would never have her working for him in the real world. that show was a total scam. Annie you worked hard you destroyed her in every category through out the entire season, and you look amazing. ill never watch that show again. id rather be a poker player than a cheat.
Wow, it’s hard to believe what happened. I’ve spent my share of time telling others about Trump’s boardroom decisions being all business and truthful, etc…
I’ll be wiping the egg off my face for some time. I don’t have to repeat why the decision was so wrong, however, I do have to say that I was blown away to see Joan’s charity has ties to the Trump family name. The fact that he never mentioned this, implies the fix was in.
Of course, the fact that Annie was so far superior also confirms this. (i.e. he couldn’t pick anyone else)
In any type of games or events or lotteries…. we all see how they mention that employees, family etc… don’t get to participate….and poor Donald never even told me….This show is now dead to me. Congrats to Annie for obliterating Joan and everyone else singlehandedly.
Annie you played the game very well and should have won. I think you should remove all of these hateful comments off of your website though. Beat her with the tactic that she tried to describe but was unable to properly articulate. Be cool. P.S. You are sexy as hell!!
Wow, you are a piece of work. The way you BULLY people into giving money for charity is HORRIBLE!! You say in your interview on TV Guide about going up against Jessie instead of Joan… blah blah blah. Saying Joan hardly raised any money. Well HELLO what the freak did Jessie raise?? Give me a break. I feel sorry for your kids and husband.
The battle between you and Joan was termed as the one between good and evil by Joan. Well she did take the meaning of good to a whole new level I guess. She had total lack of respect for poker players and made a lot of personal attacks on you and was whining the whole show. I don’t think I would be watching the next season of apprentice. Anne, keep up the good work and have a successful life.
The Celebrity Apprentice game seems to have been fixed (i.e., Donald would have picked Joan no matter what). I don’t understand how both Donald and Ivanka could say Joan is a role model when she is so verbally abusive.
you sure area poor loser…Grow up…Joan spoke to your face…you spoke behind he back…You mad a real ass of yourself when you thought you won..almost clapping for yourself….as Donald said Annie you are fired……
I am very disappointed in the end result of the Celebrity Apprentice! I found Joan Rivers to be rude and rather vulgar throughout the entire show. I am aware that this is her platform as a general rule and I can respect that “what you see is what you get”, but I was disappointed with her language and attitude towards Annie and other players throughout the entire game. Including Mr. Trump. I am 40 yr. old mother of 2 from the South, but I am far from being a prude! Profanity is not something I am shocked or offended by, (used on occasion myself
!!) but I found the constant use of these words to be over the to. I have always been a fan of the very vast english language, and feel that profanity only makes one appear simple-minded and not very educated. I on the other hand found Annie to be a person with class and the true ability to rise above conflict and truly turn the other cheek. I wanted to smack Joan and Melissa both!!! I was screaming at the TV!! She demonstrated grace under pressure and I am a true FAN!!! Thank you Annie for not stooping to their level. You are definantly above “it”! Best of luck to you in anything you choose to pursue. I KNOW YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A WINNER!
Anne,
I never knew who you were before the Celebrity Apprentice(didn’t watch poker on TV). However, each week I liked you more and more and kept telling my wife you should win. You were far above Joan Rivers in every way. Actually, she quit once and was allowed to come back, which is crap. Anyways, I will be looking for you on TV and will have to buy your book. Your life story seems quite interesting. Hope all is well for you and your family.
Annie -
it’s ‘funny enough’ rather than ‘funnily enough’.
And, I think you’re fabulous.
Gus
just watched the final show. What got to me the most was the way that you explained that the decorator quit because of Joan, and she kept calling you a liar when we all saw it happen. She kept interrupting you when yout tried to explain and Trump let her. And your video of your charity was much more professional. No crying – just explaining. Congratulations.
I’m quite sickened by what transpired, but on a positive note. Annie, you’re more of a role model to men and women alike than Joan ever was. I hope to emphasize this, forget Joan and her crybaby daughter. They taught their kind of people that when you whine and bitch, you get what you want. Those kind of people, suck. They just do. They suck, and they try to make the rest of us feel bad about being pretty, or smart or talented. Just look at what Joan and Melissa did the whole time. Try to tear down people with talent, while sucking up to talentless hacks like Trump.
But you do more for the rest of us than you will ever know. You are a women excelling at a “man’s game”. You are strong, independent, brilliant, creative, kind, sensative, caring and a true friend.
You and I know that you can tell a lot about a person from their friends. So, your friends raised 4x hers. I guess hers was too busy at the Birdcage? I don’t know…
You held yourself so damn well and made HUGE fans from your appearance. You did wonders for your wonderful charity. Your reputation remains unscathed. Don’t worry about when you showed emotion at the end. We all love you for it. My friends all wish we could have come on the show and fought alongside with you.
You can hold your head up high. You lost on a BAD BEAT on the RIVERs. But we all know who the real champion is.
Annie you were robbed. The Donald clearly made The WRONG choice!
I am stunned and bewildered why Joan got away with everything she accused you of, week after week…she’s a complete lunatic.
She did not deserve to even be in the finals! Trump obviously only kept her there for the sake of drama. Integrity, my ass. I’ve been pissed off about this all day today! LOL
I think in the end, The Donald just had to give it to her, as he knew you’d recover and Joan never would have, so they continue this complete charade as if you did anything to deserve that treatment from her. Honor…?? GMAFB
Seriously, the Trump’s must have been having a pity party for poor pathetic Joan the drama queen. The rest of us saw the truth in the episodes.
Joan obviously attacked you early on because you were the biggest threat and ironically she was actually the ultimate master manipulator and everything she said about you is merely a projection of the truth about herself.
I applaud you for holding yourself gracefully and keeping your cool. I had never heard of Annie Duke prior to this show and I am now a big fan!
I always enjoyed Joan Rivers’ comedy, but I have lost all respect for her. She might be talented and energetic for her age, but she is completely full of shit!
There, I feel better now. LOL, I hope you do too. I wish you all the best. I’m going to check out the rest of your website. Stay cool!
Annie, Its impressive the amount of money and recognition you raised for your charity. I’m so sorry and DISAPPOINTED you didn’t win the celebrity apprentice. I was angered (totally peeved)’the Donald’ chose Joan. You handled yourself with poise and grace despite Joan’s unprovoked abusive, insulting, and angry attacks on you. I have tremendous admiration for you. You played the game with intelligence, hard work and respect for others. Aloha, Nancy
I am really sorry you lost. I didn’t watch any episodes this year except the final. I was amazed how biased Trump was for Rivers. It was sad to see. I really got emotionally caught up in this finale and must say I was very disturbed by what I saw. We clearly saw Joan Rivers act like she was above it all and Trump played along. When you told the truth about what happened with the room designer, they slapped you down. You told the truth and everyone saw that but they slapped you down and wouldn’t allow you to present that truth. I totally lost all respect for Trump and this show. Rivers true colors showed through – what a bitch. She betrayed Johnny Carson and now this. I wish you well Annie. Hold your head high. I could see what a very nice person you are and wish you the best. I felt you played the game with honor.
Do I live in bizzaro world? How the world was cheering for Joan is completely baffling to me. Her behavior was reprehnsible, and Trump was simply in awe of the iron maiden, Joan Rivers. He stops Jesse from telling Rodman he is stupid, yet he continually let Joan rant on Anne, calling her every bad name she could come up with. Anne wins in my book, and in the book of everyone who can tell good behavior from bad.
Well, if poker players are white trash, I guess I’m white trash too. Annie, not only were you robbed, but I used to have a boatload of respect for Donald Trump… it’s not personal.. it’s business… My Ass. Joan Rivers took this game to a personal level, and showed how little class both her and Melissa have. You not only deserved to win, but you deserved a medal for putting up with a senile old woman’s bigoted comments.
Annie,
I completely thought you should have won Celebrity Apprentice. I think it’s a shame that Joan didn’t have enough moral fiber to stand up and take responsibility for the event planner in the final Challenge quitting. You played a great game and it was fun to watch…thank you for not taking business and a game to a personal level.
I am not a poker player and I am not your fan, but I completely understand how you feel. I was really shocked to see the final episode – suddenly Trump started calling you and your people “gamblers” and let the crazy old lady keep shouting at you. There were hardly any discussions about how you and Joan managed the tasks – It was clear that Trump and producers did not want you to win for several reasons but I strongly feel that it had nothing to do with your performance – you were fired simply because you are a poker player which they seem to despise.
Do they really want Joan to be their ROLE MODEL?
Oh, c’mmon.
Thank you for being the good sport you are. It takes a real lady of class to sit through the lies, hate speech, and name calling that you wrongfully endured.
I pity both Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers. From the unwarranted attacks they made against you, it is obvious that not only do they have self-esteem issues, but that they are jealous of the fact that you have friends who literally, on a moment’s notice, would get on a plane and fly to your location and then make very expensive donations for charity!
It takes a special person to generate that type of loyalty…and you received it not just once from a single individual, but MULTIPLE times from many different people throughout the course of the competition.
I look at it this way — the actual winners of this competition are the charities, and the actual loser is Donald Trump…he’s just hired a crying quitter who is so obnoxious that even with 45 years of entertainment industry experience, she has to have her teammates bring in the celebrity star power, and even then they are mostly “impersonators.”
I was not a big fan of Annie’s while watching the show and have some very fond memories of Joan Rivers from growing up. However, Joan Rivers’ complete lack of class, dispicable and embarrassing behavior, coupled with her blind arrogance and blatant hypocrisy have secured my complete disdain for her and my admiration for Annie.
Annie acted with maturity, intelligence and composure. And ANY reasonable observer has to acknowledge the fact that Annie out-performed JR in every way.
And Trump plays dumb about why the Designer quit? Please!
I would have canned JR in a heart beat! List for me again where JR out-performed Annie? Infantile tirades? Over the top personal attacks? Most frequent “I have more class and character than you losers” comments? She doesn’t even have the class to retract her Hitler comment and apologize. PLEASE!
And Trump acted completely unjustly. “CLUCK, CLUCK, CLUCK…SPLASH!”
I just watched the final episode of Celebrity Apprentice. The most deplorable thing that stands out to me is how the show and Trump appear to on one hand turn a blind eye to Joan’s comments and simultaneously use them to promote this “bitter rivalry” and boost the show’s audience. I am mostly referring here to Joan’s comments regarding Annie’s friends. Referring to poker players as “white trash” and members of the mafia is in no way respectful to the people who showed up for the show’s charities and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Joan could argue that they were there to promote Annie – which may be true -but she thankfully accepted the money from the poker community in the early stages and would have been smiling with pride if Natalie could have roped in Phil Hellmuth.
You cannot ask people to contribute to your charity and help out your television show then turn around and spit in their face. If you didn’t want the money, speak up or quit the show.
And regarding Joan’s comments about “everyone in Vegas” – maybe you need to review Trump’s resume one more time. You will see that he has made millions, if not billions, from his casino and hotel properties in Atlantic City. Is Trump in the mafia? No, he is a business man just like Annie is a business lady.
Most pathetic image from the finale: Joan Rivers in the kitchen cooking for her charity. Didn’t Joan comment in an earlier episode that she doesn’t cook and doesn’t know her way around the kitchen? Well, unless there is a camera around.
Annie!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paint little frowns on the bobble heads and put up a link to a pic of them wiggling. Maybe a little sign too – that says, “Learn not to hate.”
I lost 100% respect for JR. Trump has always been a mope. I’ll never watch or support either of them again.
I can not believe that Trump picked that BITCH Joan Rivers to be the Apprentice!! After the way she was allowed to attack people on the show not just you but Clint too!! He should have sent her old saggy ass packing way before the final episode. I admired the way you played the game but it really pissed me off that you didn’t defend yourself in the boardroom!! When she went after you at the last boardroom and Trump kept egging her on I was really hoping you would stand up, look Trump in the eye, tell him that you wouldn’t want to be Apprentice after being treated the way he allowed you to be treated and tell him to shove his Apprentice up his ass, turned around and walked out and not looked back.
Oh well!
Good luck in all your endevours Annie, I think you got real class!!
Oh and here’s a response to Sportsman-seeker. What an asshole!! Annie should have knocked the old bat on her ass!!
You were amazing the entire season and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that the true Celebrity Apprentice wasn’t crowned! You were calm, cool, collected throughout the whole season and along with Jesse James, the reason I watched the show. I think you’re an incredible player and businesswoman! So many comments could be said but I’m sure that you know the truth and that’s all that really matters in the end. It’s always better to be able to sleep with a clear conscience! Joan should be tossing and turning.
