I know people are wondering how I could go from saying I respected Joan in the last boardroom to the private interview where I said she was not a nice person and she had made the fight personal for me. I am aware it seemed like a weird juxtaposition from the boardroom to the final private interview last episode but here is what happened in between. I tried to extend some sort of “good game” to Joan. Just tell her I respected her for getting to the final two. And the video below is what a got in return. I particularly love where she says “I won’t allow America to hear it.” Makes that last interview of mine make more sense, I think.
Since the beginning of the show, I have rooted for Annie after knowing of her through WSOP shows and such. It was ridiculously unfair and unprofessional of Trump to let Joan talk the way she did about Annie, especially when Annie is a guest of his show. Trump was already iffy for me…and now that does it. Joan can also go to hell with her unaccomplished, untalented daughter. I don’t play poker but for Joan to demonize gamblers as ‘mafia’ or ‘white trash’ is ignorant. No one would survive that PR if comments as stupid as that were said about the gay community. Think about it.
I have to give it up for Annie though. She has shown immense self-control and restraint under such personal attacks. The game was well played. I have great respect for her.
I must comment about the event planner walking out. It was not Joan’s fault. On the show it was clear that the designer had his own agenda and was not willing to listen to nor work with his client. Patty i do believe that if your designer gave you only two color choices (all white and then all red) you too would have been upset. I thought how Joan handled the designer then the designers assistant (what is up with that) was how anyone would have. Also Joan did not “replace” the designer she just wanted to bring in some help to work with the designer. The designer was clearly at fault. I would not hire or want to work with a designer who was not willing to listen to their client, especially if it is very reasonable requests. I hope the design firms name gets out and no one hires them. Sorry Annie this one is not Joan’s fault.
I have never seen so many bleeps on Celebrity Apprentice as when Annie Duke spoke! Every other word out of her mouth was bleeped; what I call a real gutter mouth! Glad you did not win.
First of all, congrats to the true and moral victor, Annie, whether Trump named you or not. You played the game like a champ. The editing was so slanted that I can’t believe they even showed any of Joan’s childish, bordering on demented, outbursts. It was great to see you as a true person and not a plastic mannequin. One more minute of the Rivers’ frozen faces and I might have lost it. Seeing those two in HD on a big screen is scary! Best of luck to you. You made a great point about poker being a skill game and not gambling. Too bad the screeching harridan, I mean Joan, made it almost impossible to hear. Annie Duke Rocks!
Joan has such class. Annie is the bitch. You are no were near Joans equal. She is so above you.
Based on the last posting I absolutely have to ask the poster “what is the color of the sky in your world”?? Wait, never mind, I just realized that it was probably Melissa Rivers using a psedo name. Melissa, I hope that you and your mom can sue for the totally screwed up plastic surgery jobs you got.
Joan should have never made it to the final two. Should have been Clint and Annie. Joan hadn’t won as project manager since week 1 and was afraid to take charge. Clint wasn’t afraid to take charge. Clint and Annie were the only two people who took the show seriously.
Joan’s maturity, decency and honor won through all the deceit and back stabbing in the end. Let’s hope Annie learns some valuable life lessons from this and her children grow up to be as decent as Melissa. The best person won.
One of the best things about the blogging community is all the things people freely share. Thanks!
