What happened after the last boardroom
I know people are wondering how I could go from saying I respected Joan in the last boardroom to the private interview where I said she was not a nice person and she had made the fight personal for me. I am aware it seemed like a weird juxtaposition from the boardroom to the final private interview last episode but here is what happened in between. I tried to extend some sort of “good game” to Joan. Just tell her I respected her for getting to the final two. And the video below is what a got in return. I particularly love where she says “I won’t allow America to hear it.” Makes that last interview of mine make more sense, I think.

Oh yeah. You know donald rigged the outcome when Annie more than doubles joan’s money but it only counts as 20%. Yeah right, donald. As I said before. Next season call it, “Donald’s Closest Friend Wins!” It would have saved me alot of time, which I will spend more wisely next season.
I don’t usually post things like this, but seriously, I am so mad at the finale of The Celebrity Apparentice! Clearly Annie, you should have won just based on how much money you raised and your integrity alone. However, what really upset me about Donald Trump’s decision (and I hope you are reading this Trump!) is that Joan Rivers was crude, foul-mouthed and two-faced. And that’s putting it midly. I have never posted anything about a reality show before this, but I cannot believe that a woman who was so downright rude and disrepectful and who repeatedly claimed she was “honorable”, won a show that is supposed to be about raising money for charity. I am disgusted at the things Joan Rivers said to and about Annie Duke and am shocked Donald Trump chose her as the winner. Annie, I knew of you, it’s not like I was a huge fan before, just didn’t know of you all that well. Now, I think you are a srong, phenomenal woman and you ought to be proud of how you represented yourself on The Apprentice. Joan Rivers ought to be ashamed. And honestly, so should Donald Trump.
Joan Rivers has always been a piece of work. Years ago she used to hire bad singers to open for her at the improv, so that she would appear better than she really was. She also paid them very little money to appear with her. Melissa Rivers, nee Rosenberg; changed her name when her father killed himself.What kind of person would do that? She would never get anywhere if her mother was not Joan Rivers. No wonder why she does not have a husband anymore. Annie Duke is one of the most interesting and fantastic women my husband and I have every seen on television. Annie, you are comeptitive, yet ethical. You won as far as we are concerned. Pirate Queen, you apparently were watching a different show or did not see the entire season. Annie only got “catty” in defense of herself. The idiotic old bitch and her spoiled daughter teamed up on Annie early because they saw she was a strong player and a threat to win it all. They need to pack up thier many plastic faces and move to Grey Gardens. I’ve watched every apprentice from day one and though I didn’t agree with all Trump’s decisions,I could understand them, but this one made no sense. Joan should have never made the final two and when she did Trump proceeded to stack the deck against Annie by changing the criteria from the usual amount raised to some other easier manipulated criterias so that NBC and Trump could reward thier old friend. One word “FIXED”.
You are the only person with any class on celebrity apprentice Annie. I have lost all respect for everyone who did not stand up for you. You are a true representative of the game of poker and I applaud your effort in the face of insurmountable bigotry.

I HAD to voice my opinion that what happened on Celebrity Apprentice was a complete joke. Annie did EVERYTHING correctly and Joan Rivers acted like an absolute child! I totally agreed that her actions would have been taken very seriously in a boardroom across America and she would most likely have lost her job. I could not believe how lenient Mr. Trump was to let her go on like that, but berate Jesse for calling Rodman stupid, which was far less serious than the comments from Joan about Annie and her friends. It was amazing how her “mafia” friends came at the drop of a hat to help her when she was desperate! It shows the type of friends she has and should hang onto! I have a feeling that there will be many people besides myself who will no longer watch the show because of how Joan’s actions were handled by Mr. Trump. I am VERY happy that Annie raised a ton of money (MUCH more than Joan) for her charity and they were the ones to benefit from all of the hard work! I’d hire her in a heartbeat!

When the 2009 Celebrity Apprentice contestants were named, Joan Rivers had, by far, the highest name recognition. I suspect that she had a clause in her appearance contract requiring that she win the show and that her daughter be carried at least some number of weeks into the season.
As obnoxious and lowbrow as the two Rivers women showed themselves to be, I think the biggest loser was Donald Trump. He’ll always be recognized for the lamest performance by host in steering the pre-determined outcome of a reality show.
Most sane people acknowledge that you really won. Considering that you were playing against a stacked deck makes your accomplishment quite remarkable. Way to go Annie.

Annie, you were robbed. You performed to all the standards that the Celebrity Apprentice is supposed to stand for, and Joan did the exact opposite and still won.
The rules were bent for her, the challenges were set up to make it easier for her to win, she cheated, she lied, she behaved like a four-year-old, and she still couldn’t beat you.
You dominated the game start to finish. Period.

I have enjoyed Joan’s stand up for many years and thought her banters with Melissa on the Red Carpet shows we sort of fun.
What we saw was probably staged, but overall my feelings have changed to seeing Joan and Melissa a couple of whack jobs.
If this were high school, Melissa would get her whiny co-depeendant butt kicked and maybe learn how to become a real person. Joan is dilusional. I have never seen such fraile, vain, self-centered and damaged nutjobs before this.

Annie went on ad nauseum about how the event planner quit, but how could that possibly have been Joan’s fault? Wouldn’t the event planner have had a contract with NBC and The Celebrity Apprentice? This guy had NO ideas, NO creativity, and clearly wasn’t up to the task at all. We all have to deal with difficult people in business situations, and we do not always have the choice (especially in this economy) to decline business because of this. He, not Joan, was unprofessional. I think that quite a few people embarrassed themselves on this show (most glaringly, Annie Duke) but this guy is probably going to lose business because of this.
Simply, Joan Rivers would have said some not nice things on live TV that would have insulted NBC, the charities, and Donald Trump.
The producers knew she was a loose cannon, they kept her for the drama, but realized they had to make her the winner or else risk losing their jobs.
Annie’s a finalist on the show. That’s an accomplishment in itself. Not number one, but seriously, money was raised!

Joan sucks as a person/mannequin. She is everything she accused Annie of being and worse. I can’t believe Trump rewarded her childish, malevolent behavior. Trump and NBC obviously had Joan to win it before the show even started.
Donal Trump use to be my financial mentor. Some friends and I bought his books, watched The Aprentice all the time but after the Joan Rivers winning, we opened our eyes and started to wonder if any of his prior shows have also been fixed like this one. It’s sad to treat the TV viewers like that, on the other hand his goal is money for him and I don’t know why we are surprised. As of now, none of us are buying anything that has to do with Donald Trump or watch any of his shows. Mr. Trump shouldn’t have people he is already close to in his show, because that’s playing with the rest of the contestants.
As for Joan Rivers… shame on her, what she did to Annie was so cruel and unprofessional. Just remember something Joan…WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND (if it didn’t come back to you already).

I always enjoyed Celebrity Apprentice, but doubt if I will watch it again. Annie clearly should have won. Joan Rivers is an embarassment to herself and the Trump Organization. How could Donald hire anyone who compares an intelligent, compassionate person with Hitler????? Poor decision Donald.
It was clear Annie deserved to have won. I think Trump pulled for Joan in the end because she was a more well known/well liked celebrity.
Joan showed how immature one can behave even at her age. She does seem to wear her emotions on her sleeve. Her credibilty was gone though when the subject of the event organizer came up during the final hour. She got really emotional and started to rant and sdaying how it wasn’t true that it was her fault, etc. BUT everyone at home just saw what actually took place and that Annie was right and telling the truth (at least that’s what we home viewers saw and hoping it was edited truthfully.
Annie came off looking really professional in her dealings with Joan on the show by not stooping to Joan’s level of name calling and wild rants. I don’t know how Annie was able to keep her cool but it shows how much self-control she has.
Annie, a tough, strong lady who knows what it takes to get the job done. It doesn’t hurt either that she looks great as well.
I feel SO ripped off. Rivers won because Trump pitied her. And, boy is she pitiable!
Great series, Annie. I trade stocks for a living and I guess Joan doesn’t have much respect for me either.
I will say this, Trump’s casinos have been in trouble and he probably feels he can get more people into them with Joan on stage than by hiring you to sing and dance… although I must say that jingle was awesome.

Instead of TV Land’s new show being called “How’d you get so rich” it should be “Why’d you hire a bitch”. TV Land is deleting negative comments because it “violates the rules of their forum”. Vicious old Joan Rivers violates the rules of decency. If Mark Burnett doesn’t want to hear anything negative, perhaps a boycott of advertisers on her show will be a better way to post our response. Everyone with common sense knows you are the winner! Mr.Trump has made a grave mistake in thinking the viewers are some dumb-sheep who can’t see that this outcome was a total sham. I used to think this was about the charities, but obviously not. I hope the show gets canceled and that you will be more succesful than ever because of the exposure you got from this show. You gained many fans because you acted with great character and authenticity, unlike some of the circus-acts you had to put up with….(Melissa & Joan!!!)

Evil? WTF? Annie did not do one thing that would even remotely justify Joan’s scary ass personal attacks. What I don’t like about Joan’s fans is that they can’t be honest even with themselves. Annie is not only brilliant, but she is a class act. Joan Rivers . . . a role model? Not for me, my daughter, my granddaughter or anyone in my world. I have always enjoyed Celebrity Apprentice, but I won’t be a viewer next season. I had been a fan of Joan Rivers prior to her mean-spirited attacks and childish tantrums on the show, but I am simply disgusted by her lack of manners, social graces, and basic humanity. I have great admiration for how Annie handled these rapid-fire assaults. Few could have endured this more dignity and grace than Annie. Now, there is a role model.

Trump & Joan produced the drama they wanted last night…without drama Celebrity Apprentice would not get renewed season after season. Trump showed last night what happens in corporate america all the time…the best or most qualified candidate doesn’t get the promotion, the one who is the boss’ favorite wins. So Annie never had a chance to win because she wasn’t Trump’s favorite, Joan was.
Annie, you handled yourself professionally, assertively and successfully. It is a shame that from the beginning Trump was not going to choose you to win. It was obvious as he constantly interrogated you at the board room with “…didn’t Joan do a good job, Annie?” And so on and so forth, the whole evening Trump kept asking you what you thought of Joan’s performance. And of course, Annie, you handled yourself very well and answered Trumps questions, all under great composure. I don’t think very many people would have been able to keep themselves composed with the constant obnoxious comments from Joan Rivers and her daughter and from Trumps’ constant attempts at creating more drama at the boardroom with his absurd questions. Stick to the task at hand Trump, don’t keep asking what went wrong with the decorator. It was just creating more unneccessary drama and it was evident that Annie would never be hired because she refused to stoop down to Joan’s and Trumps level. Good for you Annie, congratulations on a great job on the apprentice.
This will be the last apprentice I watch as I did not appreciate the behavior that was allowed in the boardroom (name calling has to be stopped at some point) and the fact that Trump enjoys watching arguing going on between two contestants as opposed to who did a better job at performing the task.
I am so glad Joan got screwed out of the Tonight Show years ago. I will never have anything to do with anything with Joan’s name attached to it. Annie, you played with honor. I will go out of my way to support Annie’s causes. I can definitely see why Annie has so many friends and why Joan has so few.

Annie, I just want to say that after watching the entire season, I think that you were robbed.
You were clearly the best in every task, and obviously the show was rigged. And the way he screwed you over in the final moments, that was just messed up.
When I have kids in the future, I will point to you as a perfect roll model of how to act. Take the abuse with a smile for as long as possible, then attack back harder then your opponent could imagine.
