Don’t be a resulter

A quick thought for the day

Just because something turns out okay or even great, doesn’t mean the decision that led to the outcome was okay or even great. A good result does not necessarily equal a good decision, not in the short turn. Working backwards from outcome quality to decision quality requires a statistically large enough samples size. One result is not enough.

Don’t fall into the trap of claiming a decision was good because it turned out well.
